in their services they give. I am very pleased with the bank i opened my account with. the debit card they gave was so dirt cheap and no maintaining fees. only yearly fees of $10. which is really very affordable for me. and their debit card are very useful in purchasing online. and i have just recently bought online and got the cd just this morning. and so i am so pleased that i have used their service in so many ways and has given me tremendous benefits. and also i received or withdraw money in that card. My bank is Unionbank . from philippines. i don't know if this has international branches though. I try to research for other good banks to open an savings account. one bank i try to check online has many dissatisfied customers. And so i wonder if you are satisfied with yours. what is your bank's name. what are the things that you love or hate about it.

My bank is Abbey, soon to become Santander. It is, without exception, genuinely awful at everything. On no occasion have I been "a satisfied customer", not will I ever be. I'm going to transfer my account to another bank, when my life settles down a bit - until then, I'm trying to maintain a small but irritating balance in my account and am making as many transactions as possible, in an attempt to cause them the same frustration that they have caused me, over the years. Abbey - worst bank ever!

i wonder how that small balance and frequent or many transactions cause your bank some frustrations the way they caused you. i think there are really some banks that are just not concerned in improving their service despite the many bad feedbacks on their service. like they are just trying to close their ears from those negative comments that they have been hearing.

oh yes it cost them money to do all the reports of all your transactions for the month. but here in my country. some banks will give a transaction report by request only and with some charges already.

I doubt my actions are going to break the bank; however, I'm just trying to ensure that it costs them money to keep me as a customer. It must cost something to process all the various transactions, direct debits, etc. - and they can earn very little by lending or otherwise investing my pittance of 'savings'. I totally win!

You are a lucky one ,my bank has interest rates for loans and almost non existent interest rates on savings .They charge you for everything and every year their fees increase. The banks is full on pay days and then they move very slowly so you end up spending many hours in their long lines

i think all banks has all z zero interest in savings account. thee earning is not that significant at all if there is any interest at all. in my unionbank account, i have only debit card or atm account. i don't use any other of their service. i don't have any saving accounts or loan or any thing else. my sole purpose for getting their debit card which is EON is to verify my paypal account. but i just learned that i can use that to make purchase online too. and etc. but in only few sites though. and i can online banking. but in other of their services, i don't have any idea. i don't think that they differ much from other bank. but they do have good customer service. every time i call them, they answer immediately and they usually have answers to most questions i ask and they have correct answers often time. and what i like most is don't have that long queue unlike in bpi.

Banks are business orientated institutions. Their services comes with a smile and provide umbrellas to business people during sunshine with landed collaterals but will take everything away when the clouds are dark. So they are not actually consumer friendly as they are happy when you can make more money for them by servicing your loans up-to-date but when you are down and out they will add more miseries to your life. I hate their non understanding of the bad economic situation and only add more salt to wounds.

yeah that is why i think it is wise not to loan on bank as much as possible cause they take their business too much seriously and that they will just follow their rules and don't give much consideration on consumers' problem with paying them.

I am a little bit satisfied only with the bank account that i have until this present, but i get annoyed sometimes because their atm machines are always offline even though they have two machines in every bank.

oh. that is really bad if you find their atm always offline specially when you really need the money right away. it is such a hassle to look for atm on other place. that is why i usually withdraw on my atm card every time i have the chance to go out for malling as there are lots of atm machines located in the different location within the malls.

Yes. I have always believed in this bank. It is one of the two banks I had the chance to work before. This was the first bank I worked with. I opened an account about 4 years ago and I am happy that they still have that good quality and prompt service that were always required from us, their employees. I am so comfortable with this bank because I know the bank officers in that branch and I can call them anytime for anything that I need. If there is anything else that I need from their other branches, I still know most of their bank officers there and that gives me ease in getting it done. The bank has been in the business for several years now. (I would also like to mention that the other bank I worked for is an international bank. I didn't get to open any account there because of the very high minimum deposit that it requires from customers. I still get to keep in touch with the employees from that bank when I ask something about their international services like remitting money to and from other countries.)

yes unionbank is a very good bank. though it is not that popular here in our country like BPI , metrobank and etc. i hardly heard of this bank before i opened an account with them. the only time i heard or noticed them when an online friend told me they are offering a good debit card for verifying for paypal and etc. and so that was how i got to open an account here. and i am very happy. they really have fast service. lots of good things here. so i am thankful that they had offered this EON for the people which are really affordable . without it i don't know how i could verify my paypal account then.

I live in india and here there are a lot of banks to choose from. National, international....corporate...government. My dad is a bank manager himself so i don't have to do much researching and all. He tells me what is wrong and what is right. But best of luck to you...

me too. i hate long queues. i think almost all banks has long queues. but not so much so with my bank as my bank as it is not much popular bank in my country. but still gives me satisfactory service. as i only needed a debit card which they gave so cheaply and so affordable. and i can use for electronic and online banking. which i can do transfer of money through online . and thankfully their online banking are always accessible. and it is easy to use and open an online banking account. though at first it was hard cause i have to learn what is online banking but hey i was new to it and i need to learn how to go around that service. and after some time i learned it then it was just a breeze using this service. when i need to check my balance i just do it online. and i can do purchase online because of their card.

I'm quite fed up with my bank. 1. Their credit cards expires too soon 2. They diminish my interest rate as they wish without telling me anything 3. Their retirement fund is a wall, there is nobody you can talk about it, no contact person, no nothing 4. I moved house but transferring the account to a local branch of the same bank is too costly, and see, it's just an online procedure, but yet, my account is still in my native town, so handy!! ...I think it's enough! But thing is even switching to another bank, besides that I'd have to pay expenses I don't want and can't afford, wouldn't change because banks here are...mmm....like that!

yeah it is really hard to move your account to another branch sometimes. but it should be easy actually. are you using saving account or atm account. cause i think if you are only using atm account that there is no need to transfer your account to another branch. cause you can withdraw anywhere and deposit on any branch, isnt it? i don't much about bank account cause i only have been using atm account.
