There's no reason for it, it's just always there. Before I started taking effexor and colzepam I'd wake up to racing thoughts, things would go through my mind one after the other, different subjects racing in my head. I felt like I was going crazy. Now it's better but the stress is still there waiting for me to open my eyes and begins. It's mostly about small things , that other people don't think twice about. Like if I have an
apointment, I'll stress over it for days, sometimes even reschedule it. And trips that's rhe worst. Parties, gathering, I've been worried about thanksgiving for weeks! And Christmas! Don't know what to do, my daddy was the same way,and so is my oldest son. I feel so sorry for him. The clonzepam is supposed to help, it has with the racing thoughts but the stress is still there. My daddy took Xanax for his anxiety
but u mention that to a doctor and a red flag goes up. I don't want her to think I'm after drugs, I just want to enjoy my life.

dasiejanie maybe instead of more prescriptions you should try walking as a way of calming your stress down, I get stressed too but I refuse to take a lot of chemicals as I am already taking slew of medications for high blood pressure and diabetes.but exercise calms my stress as it releases endorphins into the blood stream, and make you feel much better. it is a natural pain reliever that really works.

I'm gonna have to agree here. Taking a walk when stressed is great! All that dtress is released into the ground with each step, your blood starts flowing, and the endorphines get excited! Nature walks are even better than street walking (no pun intended) but both will help the stress.

Hi dasiejanie! I understand you completely and you have my sympathy. Sometimes we need medication to control chemical imbalances. If your doctor has already determined that you need help, perhaps you can ask him to try another medication. Not all meds work for everyone and changing yours might help you.

Wow I have had periods too in my life when I was equally stressed and about similar things that you have stressed about .There was a time when I woke up to and kept wondering what will happened and it stressed me out .However I wish you will get over it soon because I know you are under a lot of stress .

Hi dasi janie: I'm not sure about the whole post but at least i understand there's something wrong in the results of this prescriptions you have to take, at least i think it must not cause these feelings. You ought to talk to your doctor about how you feel and what can you do deal with these symthomps. Maybe some yoga would help you feel better but it seems that this is a very serious thing you should pay attention.

I think your fault is the thought of becoming stressed makes you more stressed.. Take everything easy..Think that if we are making any mistake the world is not going to turn upside down.. Then why do we want to stress ourself?

Stress is overloading the mind with multiple thoughts or pressures, that the mind or brain cannot able to withstand..so we burst out in anxiety and tension.

I think its just your feeling.. When you are waking up tell yourself that you are happy for 100 times.. then think of some happy situation and when you are doing your morning duties have some happy or the songs of your choice.. Try singing the song along with the player.. You will really feel the difference..
