I have a friend who is allergic to so many things. She is allergic to cats, dogs, pollen, dust, etc. She has to carry antihistamines and inhalers. Oh and lots of tissues. When I was about 8, and my next door neighbors went to the park. My friend Peter was pushing me on the swings and he got stung by a bee. He was allergic! In less than a minute he was covered in welts. Luckily we lived across the street from the park. We were able to have my friend's brother run and get help. It was the scariest memory I have from my childhood. He survived.I had allergies to amoxicillin, penicillin, and anti-inflammatories. As I got older, It began to get worse. The reactions become horrifying. The thing I hate the most is the itching. How about you, do you have any

I have a few minor allergies, nothing that's really bothered me since last year. Got hives at the state fair, may have been because I took dairy products out of my diet and then put them back in. I never really did find out...

Hey Dawnald! Two words, HIVES BITE! I had hives once when I was about sixteen. I worked at Friendly's. Something didnt agree with me. I think it was nerves. However they were so mean to me. They didnt care. They wanted me working regardless. My parents came up there and told them about themselves and took me home. I got a call from the general manager apologizing for the manager's behavior. Be careful when you change your dairy. You'd think it would be harmless to change your diet until you do it. So be careful during the holiday's. Happy Holidays dl

i know exactly what u mean, i have the same problem. What I did was washed every bedsheet and vacuumed my room. I also removed my carpet and switched it with wood. Try not to leave your window open or even blinds.

I leave my windows open all the time anyways. Allergies are no joke. My aunt was hospitalized for months. She developed an allergies to nuts. She had a peanut stuck in her intestine. It almost killed her. I never want to go thru this again. It was an accident that they found out what was wrong. God bless her. She has to be extremely careful what she eats. I couldnt imagine being in her shoes. dl

i still have a few major allergies, but not like i used to. they irradiated my thyroid years ago,and for awhile there i was allergic to damn near everything. they gave me shot treatments that re-built up my resistance to things and it helped a LOT.it's worth it if you have insurance.

I have not experience any allergy so far. May it be with medications or other causes like food, insects and other factors. I do hope that I won't be able to experience later on. I am glad that nothing serious happened on your allergic experience. Stay safe always!

You are very lucky my friend! I have a friend that is allergic to everything. And I mean EVERYTHING! It's terrible for her. She always has watery eyes and dark circles. When my oldest daughter was younger she always looked as if she had black eyes or dark circles as if she wasnt sleeping. People started commenting as if I was doing something to her. I went to the doctors and they told me she had allergic shiners. Definition: Dark circles around the eyes due to dust from things such as stuffed animals. Stuffed animals were her favorite thing. Imagine me having to throw them all away. She was devastated. These are all the things you dont want to deal with. See how lucky you are? Make sure you keep your immune system up. Take vitamins and drink lots of juices. dl

Yes, I have allergies, hey fever, sometimes, feels like an all year round problem for me, constantly sneezing, can get me down at times. I come out in rashes with certain pain killers, have not really researched further, what I am allergic to, as doctors, do, not seem very interested, even, though, it is important, means, paying out more myself, for testing kits. Thankfully, when, I was stung by a wasp as a child, my children, also have, we've been ok, maybe, bee stings can be worst. I agree, with the itching, it can be very ignoring at times, I am thankful, I do not need an inhaler, as, I've got arthritis I guess, this, is more than enough to be getting on with. People, should take allergies seriously, good, you acted fast for your neighbour. I, expect, his not forgotten, what happened, either, hopefully, he'll be fine now.

I have many allergies. Most of my symptoms are just itching, watery eyes and sneezing, but its no fun. I am allergic to ALL pet dander, dust, most trees, most grass, and weeds. Most of the time I just use an over the counter anti-histamine such as generic Claratin or generic Zyrtec. I used to get allergy shots from my doctor. That was amazing. My insurance stopped paying for it so I was unable to finish the program and now my allergies are back. Not as bad as they used to be, but it would have been nice to be rid of them for good.

I seem to be allergic to something, but I am not entirely sure what. Sometimes my sinuses go absolutely crazy. I take a claritin, and that usually solves the problem. Unfortunately Claritin, even the non-drowsy kind, seem to knock me out, and make me feel loopy all day.

I have a lot of allergies as well. But I'm also an asthmatic so I can't take all the medicines that are open to everyone else. I've been on the inhalers and had allergic reations to them where my lungs have closed up. Some even counter act my asthma meds. I have to stay away from my allergins the best I can. I have to stay away from cats, long hair shedding dogs, fresh cut grass, and pollen. My daughter thankfully doesn't have the problems I have. SHe's allergic to pet dander. If the pet is not well kept up she starts sneezing like crazy and gets headaches. She also has to stay away from fresh cut grass which made it hard since she cuts the grass at our house in Baltimore. Wonderfully she can take claritin and things like that though to help her.

I have also allergies. I don't know from where. The doctor said I need to find out what. Every now and then I find out I have redness, bubbles on my skin anywhere. On my arms, hands, face, legs or sometimes most parts of my body. It is so itchy. Sometimes I scratch them. It scattered so fast. After a while it disappeared as nothing happens. Maybe from dust, stuff, coffee or can be anything. I think it's on my blood. My mother has it and my sister too. I discover coffee and dried fish make me allergic. That's why I minimize coffee. I drink coffee once or twice a day. Now I don't have problems with it. Sometimes it appears sometimes not. I just don't know why. It is not worst. I still survive. It's on my blood.

im allergic to everything and i suspect even my husband (tmi to tell here on why) i actually get allergy shots and take allergy medication by pill and inhalent (nose spray) other wise i would constantly have asthma attacks and sinus infections and end up in the ER more than i already have! i hate the shots because i have to drive an hour but i think its worth the investment if i can get off meds later and then that would be less damage to my body (im on a crap load of meds due to other medical problems so 2 pills off of 7 meds would really mean something to me)

I guess the biggest allergy that I have is nuts! I hate nuts and I experience a severe reaction whenever I have taken them accidentally. I guess I have to be very careful now about what I eat, I make sure that I read all the ingredients and things like that. For some people, eating nuts would kill them, I'm fortunate that this is not the case with myself. It sounds like you have some serious allergies though but it also sounds like you are dealing with things positively. As far as I'm aware this is the only allergy that I have. Andrew

My allergy (I only have one that I know of) is kind of odd. When I go into a Dr. office or a building that has air circulated and filtered with inside air instead of outside air coming in, and the filter is dirty, my eyes water, my throat gets itchy, I cough and have a hard time breathing. I either have to leave, breathe through my clothing or get something like gum, unless I know ahead of time that it is a place where it happens, I try to take allergy pills before I get there.

i am deathly allergic to crabs and allergic to shrimp and seafood which aren't cooked well or those that turn orange when cooked. crabs make my windpipe swell so i couldn't breathe. shrimp gives me really scary looking rashes. when i gave birth, my allergies got worse. i avoid these foods and i try not to drink medicines. when i'm exposed to pollution, my skin breaks out.

In the past 22 years, I wasn't allergic to any things. Many friends around me have allergies. And I dn't understand how bad it feels to be allergic to something. Last year I had my first allergy to shrimp, which I never have problem with. Few months ago I had my second allergy when I had an infusion. I was never allergic to the medicine I was given either.Stomachache, itching, swelling were what I got. It sucked.

Whle it's interesting, my Friend S is just allergic to metals but ok with gold and silver. When we want to buy jewlery or ornaments, we always asked her to accompany to test. So we are not afraid of being cheated by the fake ornaments.:-)
