That is nasty, why would not someone help her clean it before? I would have to clean after I use it period.

I actually clean my oven whenever I can see something in it that doesn't typically belong there. So that said, I guess I clean out the oven about 1-2 times per month. I learned that I couldn't deal with a dirty oven when we bought our house and the stove that came with the house may as well have been a biohazard. The man that owned our house before we did never cleaned the oven and it was so bad that we actually took that stove and oven to the curb and went out and bought a new one.

I actually wipe mine over after every use so that it does not have a chance to build up and it certainly keeps it clean Every now and again I will give it a good Clean but as I wipe it after every usage it is not to bad

I don't know what you mean by 'cooker'. We use our oven and clean it out monthly. We also have a slow cooker which we clean out after every use. We actually have two and one is large and the other smaller for soups and such. Other than those two I don't know what else you would mean.

I use my oven several times a week, so I should clean it more than I do. Every time I clean it I determine to clean it every week in future - but I don't. It needs cleaning again now, so thanks for the reminder. I suppose I clean it about once a month. It is the worst job but it isn't really bad if it is done regularly. The stove top is ceramic glass and it is cleaned every day and treated every few days.

Hi jugsjugs, Hope your Motherinlaw feels much better now. Oven? the Oven they have left me here well it looks very clean till you try to turn it on and the muck is so baked in that it starts to smoke lol. So I quickly turned it off they have used it so many times without cleaning it that it would take a Shotblaster to clean that so I have to use other ways of doing Meat. I am certainly not willing to clean that. It was a self clean Oven but these other People probably did´nt know that and never used it. Solution? Sell the Oven for Scrap and buy another one and start from scratch it would take me months to get this Oven here clean. Have a great Day.

Wow, it must be very tired to clean the cooker out with 2 days. We will clean the house and cooker yearly, thus it won't take much efforts while we need to do that. If the cooker is outdated already, we will throw it away to avoid the hard cleaning. If the cooker is not valuable, we will throw it away too if the oil stain is accumulated too much.

I have a new cooker and try to clean it as often as possible. I will wipe it out every time I cook something messy like bacon which spits grease everywhwere. I would then use something like ovenpride to clean the shelves about once every 3 months, this brings them back to new without a lot of scrubbing.

I've got to do my oven. You reminded me of the dreaded chore. I hate it. If I use any cleaners in the oven I worry about residue getting left no matter how much I rinse it afterward. So I have to do it quite often so I can just wipe it to get it clean.

Another cleaning discussion? This is showing up my weaknesses. I hardly ever clean my oven, but then it doesnt get very dirty. The griller can get quite bad. I dont clean that enough, probably about once each month. The inside of the oven is not that bad at all. It could probably do with sprayiong one of those oven cleaning products in, which one leaves for 30 mins, and then wipe out. The top of my oven is always clean.

I don't know what a cooker is. Plus I do not ever clean any ovens, as I only use the NuWave infrared/convection countertop oven and it doesn't get dirty. If it did, it goes in the dishwasher. I do not use a range top either, as I have a portable induction cooktop that also does not get hot on the outside and hardly ever needs cleaning. Just a wipe with a damp cloth and that's it. I have better things to do than housework :-)

Are you referring to a slow cooker? If so, I don't have one of these yet, but I would like to have one in the future. Or are you referring to an oven? I only clean this out when it had a lot of grease build up or when it has pieces of food in it.

Wish mine had a self cleaner, but it doesn't. I have to clean it every month and I hate doing it.

I tried to clean my cooker at least every two month but now that it is clean I am not using it. My son gave me one of those roaster oven cookers it heats up as high as my oven did so I use it. I clean it every time I use it and I like it better than using my regular oven. It so much easier to use and clean it then my regular oven.
