if we decide to do a long distance running ,it will cost us maybe 40minutes or more ,there must be something in your brain during this time, happy or unhappy things or some not impotant thing, what is that?do you want write it down ?

I am a planner! I am always thinking about what I'll do that day, week, or month. Or sometimes I'll even be thinking farther ahead and think about future races. But mostly I'm just planning stuff that doesn't have to do with running. It's like a little convenient "me" time to think about all this stuff. Now if only I could actually accomplish half the ideas I come up with during runs!

I agree. I don't generally focus on the task at hand unless I am sprinting. Otherwise I am thinking about a lot of what ifs and possibilities in life. Generally the thoughts are negative, cause I am a negative person so me being along by myself usually puts a damper on my mood. Sometimes though...its a purification. I can think of things going on in my life and the adrenaline helps me deal with it.

If I'm running outside then it's up to what the fields out there inspire me to think about! Usually, I'm trying to think about my work, I don't know why but when I'm exercising, I'm usually thinking about work, what I need to get done after I finish running, what to do next and plans for tomorrow, next week etc. :)
When I'm indoors in a gym, I'm usually looking ina mirror and getting paranoid about what I look like! I'll be concentrating on whether I'm running in line, up straight and whether my techniqe is good. Funnily enough I never need to think about whether I look 'good' :)

My thoughts are varried. Sometimes I'm thinking how far I'll get this run, or how fast I want to go. Sometimes I'm thinking about my breathing and building endurance.
Sometimes I'm planning the rest of my day. Sometimes my mind wanders into some sort of abyss where I'm daydreaming. I don't think I have any sort of pattern for my thoughts. My mind is like a kaliedescope. All the colors mix and mash but individually they don't make up much but all together there's a splash of greatness..
lol, that's how I like to think of my thoughts anyways.
