search bar before posting discussion

we had seen a lot of discussion that is unintentionally repeated over and over again, sometimes we are lossing quality discussion and wasting time, so i was thinking, are you infavor of mylot should have a search bar before starting to post a discussion, to check if you discussion is related to others discussion?

There already is one 
Look at the top of the page at the right.
Just insert some word of your topic and highlight 'discussions'.
If your topic has already been discussed then previous discussions will appear.
If you get no results the first time then try changing the words for the search.
