Yesterday (November 22nd, 2009) I went to visit my computer friend as well as my previous colleague in his shop and noticed that he was using a USB electric heated mouse pad. He offered to give me one for free, but I insisted on paying him for the price he wholesaled them. I find it very practical in winter when our hands are using the mouse because it makes my right hand feel warm.
I did not know there was such an item before I went to my friend's shop. I am happy to have got one in this cold winter
Do you guys use one such item in winter to keep your right hand warm while using the mouse to do some clicking?

Very good stuff to get one, William. Frankly, this is my first time heard about "USB Electric Heated Mouse Pad" and fortunately, you're the one who told this useful mouse pad. Kindly, if you have the website's URL linked to this product? Care to share it while I do search on internet. I viewed your embedded image of it at the photo comment page. Unfortunately, the image of it not so details as out put as it's blanketed with the wrapper sheet. Again I thank you for sharing this info.

It is very cheap. It is ten RMB, but I got it from my friend at wholesale price he got it. If it is converted from RMB to US dollars, one dollar is 6 point 7 or 8 something. So it is only a little bit more than one dollar.

This is the best thing about China and the 'Made in China' You're right, William, just to keep our palm and fingers warm why should we look for an expensive one. Better get the cheap one, once finished easily can get a new one. If one dollar per pad, I'll buy four at once. Left and right palms/fingers and for my both feet, as well...hahahahaha! .

Hello Rose. It is helpful for those whose hands feel cold while using the stuff mentioned. As to the avatar, it is from an online virtual farm where I raise some animals, which is a farm called QQ Happy Farm. Many Chinese people love this game, me included. lol. It is a photo I took from my QQ farm. hehehe.

I have a USB mouse but it is not heated. I have never heard of such a thing. My apt is really pretty warm most of the time so it wouldn't be for me. Actually...is it cost effective? I mean how much does one of these little guys cost? And even if it kind of warms the hands...just thinking as I type.,...my hands are not on that little mouse all that much. If I were cold and relying on my hands keeping warm by the mouse then you guys probably would not see much of me on here. I don't ever spend more than 10.00 for a mouse.

i think that this is a rediculous invention. although i live in austrlia, where most people seem to think it is sunny all the time, we get the cold here too.
if you are inside, using a computer, wearing clothes, why would you need a heated mouse pad? i mean, i dont believe people should be using their computer that much that they need one.

I know I would use this at work where I am on the computer all day. The one had that is not on the mouse has a chance to get warm as I can stick it in my pocket but not the hand on the mouse. My office is always very cold this is definitely one thing that may have to go on my Christmas Wish list

hi bucket^^;;
in some third world countries like mine, heaters are not installed in houses in cold places which happens to be my city..the coldest part. though we don't have winters but it's cold when there is a typhoon or when it's snowing in other countries around December to February. we really don't need heaters to warm ourselves but this mousepad heater is useful when your hand is without gloves/mittens while using the mouse..it can get chilled too..it maybe not so useful for others but it is for some. i just hope there's no other effect on our hands than just warming it.

Hi jisir, it's really nice for people like you all, who live in temperate country to keep the hand warm by using the the USB electric heated mouse pad during the severe cold winter days. But this will make the situation here worse still for us. We live in the tropical region. Yeah, the weather here is scorching hot the whole year round. I just hope I could come across any USB electric cooling mouse pad that could keep my hand cold and comfortable all the time. Sounds that people living in countries of different weather have different needs
Wish you a Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas to you, lkbooi. It is a good stuff for us who live in temperate countries to use. I like it a lot. I can see that you do not need to use it at all due to the tropical weather.

Hi williamjisir,
Thanks to the many brilliant minds in the world, we have many USB devices! But wow, I have not come across such a device too.
I have a USB cup warmer but I unplugged it after it got into disuse.
For me here where there are no four seasons, well we have no winter and such a device would be of no use to me. However, I can appreciate how WARMING it must be to have such a device in the cold of winter!

Hi, williamsjisir! No, I don't have one of these yet! In my home it is very warm and I would not be needing it. But, if I had no heat or if I would go wireless, this might be of use for me. It is great that your friend was willing to give you the heated mouse pad for free. Not many people would do that for something as popular as this.

Yeah, it is nice of my friend for his offering it to me for free. Each time I go to him and if he has something nice for the laptop, he always says that he is happy to give me one such. He is a nice giver, but I am also one who pays him for it as I feel shy to get something for free as always.

If you stay in a warm place, then you don't need it. But it helps a lot in a cold place. I appreciate my friend's recommending me of this good stuff.

That is news for me.But I don't need one like that as i am living in a hot tropic country. It is already hot here always and shivering cold is not at all known to me.If there is a mouse invented to yield coolness, then it will be a hit in our area.I appreciate if anything can be marketed.

Hello srganesh. I can see that you do not need to use it as you are in a tropical country. But there is some kind of usb fan as well. I am sure that you have heard about it. Thank you for the response, friend. Take care.

I've never heard of a heated mouse pad before. Interesting idea. I personally wouldn't spend money on one. If my hands were cold while using my computer, I'd just put on gloves.

But if you wear gloves, it is not convenient to use the mouse and type on the keyboard. Yes?

Wow! I never knew that there is such a thing. I don't use a mousepad and am fortunate to live in a tropical country so I have no need for one. But this innovative gadget can help those living in countries that are terribly cold come wintertime. Thank you for sharing this gadget. I now know what to give my thirteen year old nephew for Christmas.

Hi William,
What an interesting device!
Over here, we do not have the four seasons. And so, there is no *winter*.
It only gets cold when it rains Mickey Mouse, or when I switch on the aircon.
And so, the temperature is still relatively manageable.

I learned this last year. I am a person who is afraid of the cold weather. But I haven't bought this product yet because I think it is not good enough for me:) I did buy the similar product, and it is a USB electric heated slippers:) As my feet will be freezing in winter. And warming my feet is important for me to keep warm.
I love China
