Hello Mylot friends this is checkmail and am staring an discusison over our Exercise preference.Well many of us will be doing Exercises for keeping our body fit, healthy and in shape. Some may be doing on thier own and some may still be using some help from the Gymnasium Instruction/trainer.Myself i prefer to do my exercise workout under the guidance of mine gym instructor, as it gets more easy without errors and also less energy required and never have to go through unneccessary pain. After all its the experience that counts in the sucessful works. What about you? preference?

well, I can't really afford an instructor but I do know that exercise is important. All exercise requires a certain amount of self-discipline. I wing it on my own. I walk and I do hula hooping and jump-roping. I also do push ups and some yoga. I don't have a regular routine....I change it up every day depending on how much time I have and my mood. Still, I make sure that I fit in as much as possible every single day. If I miss a day...I feel bad. It's really part of my routine like brushing and flossing, showering etc...It feels wrong if I don't fit in some exercise time. if you force yourself to do something for 7 days...it will be a habit...

Hi, sid. Yes, exercise is important for both young and old. We need to do it to keep fit and healthy. At my age, I think it is more necessary for me to exercise especially that my blood sugar and cholesterol levels are slightly higher. With "extra leniency" to sweets and fast food, I need to get "some help" by exercising. Of course, we also need medical help on a case-to-case basis.

hi checkmail, Exercise is very important for human mind and body and since these days the mental work has taken over the physical work so the exercise which people used to get working is also getting less and less and so it becomes mandatory to exercise daily without a break how tempting it must be to not exercise. I do light streching exercise at home and play some games like badminton which takes a lot of toll on your body thus giving me what ever i want. I donot go to any gym.

I can't afford to go to gym that's why I exercise on my own. I tried to exercise regularly as much as possible because I want to lose weight. Even if sometimes I feel lazy to exercise I force myself because I'm really determine to lose weight because I'm gained so much weight for the past years. I want to be healthy so I decided to exercise on my own at home.

Hello asweetie this is checkmail and thanks for responding to the discussion of exercises and sharing your views and experience in it.Normally we do tend to reamin much more healthy than what we are due to stress and competition in todays world. So regular exercises are required for us but should be performed in a systematic manner to yield max out of it.Yeah its always more tempting to skip exercises but it disturbs the rythm fo the flow of exercises.Whatever exercises we do must be performed in an systematic way and with proper technique.Keep it up.

Hi, checkmail. I prefer to play badminton as a way to exercise. I really enjoy it and it gives me a lot of sweat. What is better in playing badminton is I get to laugh while playing. My office mate exercises in a gym and she is into weight lifting. I think it all depends on one's preference. The end result is still staying fit and healthy, so I believe it doesn't matter what exercise you are into. Enjoy your day!

I tend to exercise by myself unless I am playing lawn tennis. I like to control what I do at my own pace. I prefer brisk walking. Sometime there is a park I walk in where there are other walkers or joggers. You have to be disclined to esercise alone.

i have never trained under a trainer as it is too expensive although i would because they could push me to higher levels. i usually exercise alone at home or in my area. i enjoy exercise so it is ok. the exercise i find most beneficial and enjoyable though is through the sports i do. i race bmx bikes and although it is an individual sport there is a lot of socialising involved. i can train for it by myself or with friends. i also play football. team sports are great for keeping fit and having fun.

Hello checkmail! This is a discussion I like as I love to exercise on a regular basis. I have never been a member of a gym or anything like that but I do exercise within the privacy of my own home. I purchased home exercise equipment from the shopping channel Best Direct and now my flat is crammed full with exercise machines! Actually I have three machines. I like the privacy and don't like being watched whilst I am exercising. I also love regular cycling so I guess I'm an all rounder when it comes to keeping fit. Yes, it's nice to receive sound advice from a gym instructor but I'm thinking that this may cost quite a bit of money and so I'm unable to pay for a fitness instructor. I feel good anyway and I have not had any accidents due to not exercising properly. I'm hoping that I will be exercising for the rest of my days! Andrew

Hello AndrewFreyne this is checkmail and thanks for responding to the discussion and sharing in your experience and views about it.Well it cool that you got nearly all sets of machines/exercise equipemnts in your home and doin exercises regualrly without much pro.But still think there is some need in correction in your exercises by an body trainer, as there have been increase in number of medical case having pro with the exercises.I hope you are getting mine point. You can also ask any friend who nows the proper systematic exercise schedule or moves.Anyways keep it up.

I like to exercise on my own! Right now I have started walking. I started walking on one of my two breaks at work. I work at a small college and I take a walk around the campus. It is a cheap and easy way to exercise! I decided to this because it is good for me! Not to mention I am starting to fell better after I do it! I hope to do 3 days a week and do 4 in the future! I am morbidly obese and I am sick of getting larger and larger! I'm starting to think more before I eat,eat less and of course walk! It is time to start taking care of myself!

Hello blue65packer this is checkmail and thanks for responding to the discussion of exercises and sharing in your experience and views about it.Its good to know that you have started the exercises by walking. It is reagrded that only walking can help our full body exercise. But watch while walking, there is also few techniques that benefits more by the way of walking. And for your health, never ever skip our meal, never change the diet, but instead can hit some bodyweight exercises, easy ones in the begining, at home or gym along with instructor or some one knowing it well.Think gym will be better for you, atleast till knowing the proper technique of exercises.keep it up.

A pleasant day to you. With regard to your question, At present, I do exercise on my own since I already have a programme. Previously, I do come and attend a session in a gym to exercise. The gym instructor will ask either you want to gain or loose weight. From their, he will give you a programme based on your goal. Then after sometime, since I have finished the term to the gym, I just keep the programme with me and continue doing it at home. Though there are some gadgets that are not available at hand like the bigger thread mill. Nevertheless, I find no hindrance to continue the other programme. I focused on the basic ones then added some stretching that I also learned before. Thus, I enjoy doing it though some good gadgets are not available for my use. Thank you for the nice question.

I used to go to the gym but in the end I got fed up because of too much waiting time. Wait to park my car, wait to change clothes, wait for using the machines, wait for the shower...there was too much time wasted for me. I have bought my own training set and buy some more when I need it and have the money (two essential conditions, lol!) but now I train at home. I do bodybuilding so it's a bit 'weird' to do at home, but i prefer so, also less people watching you -I'm not a fan of competitions, I train just for myself, don't like people looking too much- and mostly I used to hate the personal trainer, maybe it was just him and they're not all like that, but he had such a way to go around the gym like I-know-it-all and give wrong suggestions assuming the wrong things...uh, he drove me mad sometimes. I definitely left, know-it-all-man can still think he knows it all but the body is mine. Lol...I am my personal trainer.

Hello there. I'm on a gym and go there about 3 times a week. In that gym they say what we should do according to our own objectives (mine is to increase muscle) and they gave a paper with a table and we should fill it with the information of the exercises we do and the numbers of repetitions and weight. And 12 to 12 training days they check the training plan and put different exercises, etc. It's nice, I'm enjoying and it's giving results.

hi. i am exercising in my own way. i mean, not having an instructor or going to the gym, or even jogging in the park. i am doing the exercise Paulo Coelho taught in his book, the pilgrimage. yeah, no kidding. and aside from that, theres no other way i could exercise myself. just a mere concentration. and besides, doing the household chores is one way of exercising. or even hitting a 3000 steps daily is also an exercise, you may not appreciate it that much because it is our mind-set that when we heard of the word exercise, it literally means burning fats in the gym.

For me, I prefer to exercise by my own..there are actually exercises that are simple and could be done at home. I think going into a gym is quite unpractical because you have to pay for the instructor and you have to reserve your time for it. Exercise is just a matter of self determination.

Hello doniep this is checkmail and thanks for respondng to the discussion of exercises and sharing in your experience and views about it.Well it good to know that you atleast do some exercise on your own.Well the in gym the fees are charged for the quipments and instructors(caretakers) that we might use.The instructor in the gym is an experienced person in the field of exercise, he knows many things about health and fitness of diff exercises, adv,dis-adv, etc.Thats the only reason we must have an instructor if possible, to earn more benefits from execises.Yours stated words are true without self determination an little thing is not possible. For office people who have little time under the sun, maybe gym exercising is their best opportunity, but us retired, we prefer exercising in daytime and with fresh air. Good gym instruction is important and easy way, it entails high cost. As long as we remember the principles, we can avoid unbalanced muscle building, and excessive fatigue to result in injuries. In this sense, diversity is also important factor to maintain enthusiasm.

if you are losing fat or losing weight doing exercise alone at the gym or at home you must meet you burning fat zone, this means no stopping of total cardio-exercise of more than 30mins at it varies with your heart rate per second..for me i'm bulding up muscle so i need a gym trainer for more effective form of workout, assistment of your development and what are areas needed to improve in your whole physique...

With time one can independently go abaout their exercises. After my accident I did have a physiotherapist who got me into movements that I required to do to get me in good shape. I now do some of them on my own like push ups which even a normal person is recommended to do. I also do a few leg muscle building exercises which do not need supervision. I am fit and fine and these exercises have now become a part of me.

I exercise on my own at home and it seems to be working out well for me. I have my own weights and a perfect push up set at home. Sometimes I would take a jog around the block. You don't need all of that fancy equipment to get a good workout and home and receive good results. I workout one day, rest for 2 days, then work out the day after. Having an instructor would probably be the wisest thing to do however because of their vast knowledge of exercise.
