Do You Make Jokes in Your Office?

sometimes yes. Our office is not that "all serious" and stiff. Of course, we have to breath and be jolly from time to time. It will hard to be serious from 8 to 5. Hahaha.. I love making funny stories but I am not that talkative, I also find the best time when to hit it.. haha.. like every break time or during "not so busy" time at work. Happy Lotting!

I work in quality control department. According to company rules, chat or any talk irrelevent to work is strictly forbiden, not mention jokes. And I also think that office is a serious place. Keeping quiet is necessary for efficient work. Imagin that, how can you just concentrate on your work with jokes or something funny in your mind or around you. As far as I am concerned, I have to deal with some technical files every day. I do need a quiet place to keep my mind clear. That is just my opinion. Also I know office atmosphere quite depends on what kinds of work you do. So my answer is NO and what is yours?

It is definitely okay to make jokes at the office as long as the level of productivity is maintained (or even surpassed). Jokes can serve as a nice icebreaker in an office setting, just keep it in mind to be tactful and don't discriminate. With that said, one sure wouldn't want to be telling stupid blonde jokes when your blonde co-worker in within earshot. In addition to being tactful, remember that there is a time and place for everything so give jokes at the appropriate time (like now - although I won't be giving a joke :D)...

In my office, workers do not need to have a uniform. Its not a serious place either. Our office is as lively as a concert theater whenever there's people in it. We don;t have dull times. even those who have deadlines and are busy often times stops for a while with each others desk and have a good laughing conversation before proceeding to whatever task she/he may have. And the best part of it, all of us work as a team and help each other giving insights, ideas, tips on how a work should be done.

most of the time people on office hours they do not thing any think they only be a good worker but most of the time i used to do fun and joke in office for the better enjoyment by which we can do our job in good way so i used to make jokes in office

I think so,but not too more ,for it will bring negative influence .But a little jokes can enable others be happy and leasure ,during which we can leave a good impression on them ,making us get on well with colleagues.

My last job was in an office and we had alot of fun.The biggest thing was people pranking on each other.And we'd go for drinks and out too eat after work.Our boss didn't mind so much as long as we got our work done.Which we did ..it was a very pleasant environment and one of the few times I had a job I really loved.I think it depends on where you work but I see nothing wrong with having fun at the work.lace In fact it made me more motivated and productive and I'd get my work done quicker.

I think stuff like that tends to work better in smaller offices. I work in the HR departmet of a large corporation, in the Hr department. We don''t belive that you have to keep silent, but there are certian things that are ok and certian things are not. Part of that is working in the Hr department, but we do try to mak as fun as possible.

you have nice working environment, yah! is nice sometimes to have funny jokes in the office just to brake the ice but not all the time, we only play around joke when it is almost coffee break..

Enjoy our work,which really leads to a happy life. I think an office full of happiness can make people finish work more efficiently. Besides, cooperation is very important in teamwork. We can keep good relationship by kindly joking. It is also a way of teambuilding. My colleagues likes my jokes and I can always make a good atmosphere when it comes to tense. When we have different ideas and can't agree with each other,joking will make things smoothly end up and come to next stage.
