I personally am not a big fan of spicy food. I can eat some spicy food to some extent but I really can't have too much. The funny thing is that everyone in my family loves spicy food; even my little brother loves it. In fact, he just ate like 20 cut up jalapenos today and I, myself can't even eat one. But for the most part, I can eat some like Hot Cheetos, but I don't prefer spicy food in general. I like my food non-spicy and yummy =]

Hello Kathy.
Personally my stomach goes crazy if it gets spicey food, so i try on purpose to avoid this, so litterally it isnt to funny when we go out some places and most of the menus at the restaurents contains those nice chillis on the side of the menu indicating of strong it is...
I know that spicy food increases your metabolism, which is often the reason that Asian people tend to be less affected by obesity.

ofcourse yes,i belong to south India where people eat real hot food. we do not like it if the food is bland and some of the dishes prepared here are famous all over India. Hmmm....my mouth is watering thinking about all the dishes.

I always like to have tasty food, occasionally rich spicy food is good, but in day to day basis, it is also necessary to have normal food... just by adding excess spices, one cannot enhance the taste of the food, so maintain a proper balance by having tasty and healthy food, and stay fit and enjoy life.... :)

i am a fan of spicy foods. every meal, we have spices. Its like being able to handle spicy foods is a special club. I love the taste of most peppers too. I grew up on a diet of spicy food. Have never eaten a meal when healthy which was not spiced up so I'd say its because of habit.

hi dear freind, i use to love spicy food, but now because i feed my baby, so i dont take too much of spicy food. but ilove it. now i dont even cook much spicy food. i rather serve chilly with the food and sometimes mango or lemon or chilly pickle. my family loves it. my family is a family who love fried and oily food a lot. but i dont like it at all. i am just the opposite of it. i sometimes fry chillies for them because of their liking and sometimes i make seperate spicy and oily veg . with oily i mean, they love the veg with ref oil color on the top and i dont like that at all. i cant take that thing in.

I guess I could eat spicy food as long as its not too spicy and hot with all those sauces. So I could be okay with lightly spicy foods. I just like to have curry food dishes sometimes. I never had a spicy chili or jalapeno pepper before. I just need to have lots of water handy. lol.

Hi. I like eating spicy food. Whenever I'm new to a country or place, I would always ask for their best spicy food and try it.

There are occasions whereby I prefer spicy food over sweet foods, and this rotates depending on how I feel. In warmer weather, I definetly have a sweet tooth for ice cream, chocolates, muffins, fruits etc. Perhaps this is because spicy foods do tend to warm your body up. Mainly because your tongue tends to give off a warming tendency when you chew spicy foods, making you feel warmer. So in warm weather, I prefer sweeter food. Similarly, during cooler weather, I prefer warmer and spicier foods, such as tangy chips, crisps, curries, meat dishes, spicy mexican type meat dishes etc. Often this is mainly because in cooler weather, your body is trying to warm it self and as a consequence you look to warm your self up a bit.
However, eating chillies with each meal can be quite detrimental to your health. It can damage the lining of your esophagus and stomach, so you need to be careful. If ti is very mild chillies then that should be fine, but if it is very spicy I would be quite cautious.
