Hi Friend,
No way... that is a scam. I received lots of it but i just ignored it because it's obviously a SCAM. How can you win that lottery if you did not join any contest or raffle draw? your observation about the grammar and spelling are true--the one who made it is not professional and the text is not an official notice. So don't waste your time there. There are lots of things that deserve your time and attention.

good that you have that thought too. anyways, if they will do that again and again-- you can send them a message how foolish they are for involving you in their SCAM...or just ignore it totally instead of wasting your cents in texting them LOL.

Hehe...That is a scam, my friend. I don't think that kind of scam is happening also in your country. Don't believe this my friend. Because after you contact the person he says that you must pay for the taxes to claim the said price...

It's definately a scam, I have received many sms in my mobile such as the one you received, telling me to contact a given number or send money to a given account. DON'T EVER RESPOND TO ANY OF THESE MESSEGES!
If you are willing, you might as well report it to the authorities and see if they can deal with the sender. If you do win a prize in some kind of contest, you are usually informed by telephone, but it doesn't guarantee that all phone calls informing you have won something is necessarily true, you must still be careful of frauds and cons wanting to take advantage of you. If you don't feel like you have participated in any kind of contest or drawings, then don't get fixated by prize offerings.

Hi shibham,
Yes these kind of messages go straight into the Trash. Specially when I have never entered one of those Competitions.
Also in the e-mail the same procedure out into the rubbish bin lol.
I never answer them as you get bombarded with all sorts of junk.

Hiya shibham,
Delete all those rubbish things that say you have won this and the other. I never go in for those competition thing anymore either as they start bombarding you back with their Sms and one time we ended up paying for their publicity them alleging that we asked them for it.
However we did sort it all out but we did have to pay the Bill.

Unfortunally a lot of cell phone providers don't provide a junk mail option unless you are using an e-mail on your phone. Though the junk mail option is good advice. Though Hotmail now Windows live is just trouble.

shibham delete delete delete its a fraud so do not respond do not give your id this is the same stuff I get in the email and they are all frauds, mostly form Nigeria or those such places. if you send them your id next they will ask for several hundred dollars to get that million, and once they get your money they are history.you will lose your money and you will never hear from them again ever. we get them inour email and you get them on your
mobile phone, and they are never addressed to your name either.

I would just ignore it and move on. Hopefully if you ignore it, it will just go away. Or if it doesn't, you can probably contact your service provider and have the number blocked, or if it's even worse..YOUR number changed. I've never had this happen to me, thankfully! I can imagine that would be QUITE annoying, though, receiving spam messages like that. I always notice the grammatical errors that spammers tend to use, too. I wonder why they don't use spell check, especially if their goal is to make it seem like they're legitimate and telling the truth. *shrugs*. Oh well!

You should contact your phone company and complain to them. Your phone is not free, you pay for the service and you should not have to pay for messages like this. You should also report it to your local police or Better Business Bureau so they can investigate and add these people to their scam list.

These kind of sms are moving around different networks and this is for sure a scam. Usually when a company sends u a sms it is either by their name of some number starting from the company. So be ware and they are just trying to use your money and whenever I get such sort of sms I delet then regardless. Y waste your time on stupid games of someone who is foolish in thinking that u will be a viticm

I've not heard of this one but I think that I can very safely say that it is a scam. For starters ask yourself this, have you had any contact with Coca Cola so that they would have your details?
Whatever you do, do not respond to this or contact them through the email in the SMS, they are just wanting details so that they can scam. Stay well clear.

Lots of companies sell on details of addresses and phone numbers, so companies can obtain your details very easily without you ever having given them out.
Sadly there are people who will always believe these claims and get ripped off. One thing I would suggest you do is contact Coca-Cola and inform them of this scam. They may not be award of it and may want to press criminal charges as someone is using their identity illegally.

Hi Shibam,
Yes, I receive a lot of similar text messages, with different variations on the the stake ranging from a small amount of money, to millions, stocks, or even inheritance. These scammers are just so creative in coming up with things like this. I just hope that they haven't been successful in finding unsuspecting victims.

Delete all these scams, and text stop to the number. If you don't answer they can't charge you the hidden fees that are set up to be charged to your phone. If you are dumb enough to fall for it then they, have your permission to charge you the hidden fees every month, and just try to get it stopped afterwards. You have a better chance getting to be a movie star then winning anything you didn't put any form to enter.

Yes, I used to receive such texts and then I registered with TPS (telephone preference service)here in the UK and the messages eventually stopped. TPS says on its website that if you text back "STOP" They have to stop sending you such texts. I have never tried that because the texts seem to have stopped coming anyway. I delete all texts straight away unless I know who they are coming from - - Derek

I've never received an SMS like this one but I have from time to time received emails like this, and I always think now how could I have one something like this if I've never entered anything in the first place, especially if its from a different country. Just know that they are almost always scams, and delete it, don't respond, they are just wanting to get your important information.

Ignore it, my friend, since it is nothing but a scam.I used to receive many emails like this, not on the mobile though, and i simply did not answer any of them. The Mumbai police dept has issued warnings regarding such mails and sms`s in the newspapers since a few people did respond and lost quite a lot of money. Most of these scams originate in Nigeria and some of their citizens have also been arrested by the cops in Mumbai. So be careful and avoid them like poison.
