Why won't my avatar show?

I decided it was time for a new avatar, so I removed my old one and uploaded a new one. It says the upload is successful but it is not showing the picture. So I decided to try another picture, but the same thing happened. Does anyone know why this is?

This happened to me, and I realized it was because the avatar I was trying to upload did not come from the internet. If you saved it from one of your programs, like Paint, for example, then it won't show.
I think it will work if you save an image directly from the internet and then upload it, but I'm really not sure. It's just my experiences. . .

The photo actually was from the internet. I had a photo of myself uploaded on facebook, but I had it saved on a diff computer. So I saved it on this computer from the internet and then tried to upload it. It didn't work. I guess maybe I will have to try on the other computer. Thanks for the response!

hi captain!..did you use the right format of image? life jpeg? maybe it's just a system glitch on mylot? i never experience it but it will be frustrating if this thing happen to me...try again after few minutes..or refresh you sysytem..
