Who are your ancestor? Human or monkeys?

Such a controversial question and one that I personally feel is not really as important to answer as some do. I believe it is more important to focus on now, not whether or not I evolved from a monkey or from sin. When we focus on the past and the debating of creation, we fail to see the present and work towards harmony. Will it really change human behavior if this question is answered or is it just a matter of ego, "I'm right, you are wrong"?
Honestly, who can even say that Adam and Eve were human forms as in today's humans? They could have been in monkey form and as time went on, the creator "upgraded" to a more functional model. : )

The answer of this question can determine the meaning of life itself. If we proving something just for the sake of boosting ego, nothing good will come from it. Maybe you right about human forms in the past. I heard some people say that they are more gigantic than we are today, looking from the footsteps left.

Hi, Madie!
I do believe in evolution, but that doesn't mean there was anything monkey-like in any of my near ancestors. Just like all humans, there was an evolutionary pattern that took the species out of the ape sector and gradually humanized us.
That doesn't mean, in any way, that I lack faith. I believe God put the Earth together in such a way as to cause the forces of evolution to bring us to exist. Various forms of the Bible are lovely allegories, but I can't see them as factual...

Certainly not! They came about after the evolutionary process had advanced quite a long way, and they are not literal historical figures. If they were, we'd all be deformed and probably mentally challenged, as we'd all be brothers and sisters, literally!

Did God created Adam and Eve as apes? What was the reason that Adam and Eve created as apes than as human? Can apes build a civilization? WAS THE MOVIE "PLANET OF THE APES" existed long time ago only it taken place in earth itself?

Discovering the truth is the purpose of having discussion. I hope there will be some kind of evidence to prove that we are monkeys. Do you think it is great to be a monkey?

I know I am of human lineage..All the way back to those two crazy kids in the garden who, as the story goes, had a major falling out with the landlord and got evicted..And I have enough respect for that landlord and his creation, the ape, to not want to insult either by comparing that ape to me..Afterall, that ape is as it was intended to be, whether we like it or not. I, on the other hand, am what I've chosen to be which, in all honesty, doesn't always put me in good standing with the landlord..But we're working on it..And it seems more important, even tho I often times fall short, to keep the landlord happy than some Darwinist cretin who thrills at the notion of being a freak of nature...Enjoy!

Yes, ape and human are in the best creations as they are. I hope the ape won't get angry with me, hehe. More importantly, I hope you can be happy with landlord.

Hello Madie and welcome to my lot. This is funny I know that I didn't come from a monkey....LOL I know God created humans and animals and we never came from animals to humans. If we had then don't you think we would still be evolving? Have a great day!

You maybe right. Why monkey/ape must evolve into human. Why they didn't mutate into some kind of birds or insect? Why until today , no human give birth to a monkey?

I do not believe that humans evolved from apes. Since there are many species of apes, it would logically follow that, if we were a subset of that species, there would be many species of humans. All humans are basically the same when it comes to the body. There are variations of skin tone and height but you don't see humans with extremely long or short arms and/or legs or variations of the size of the head.

You got good points there. All human looks the same to me. Maybe a little variations of characteristics, dependent on the race, but we all still human.

I like to believe in Darwin's theory. But I don't believe that we cam straight from today's monkey.Just in the process of evaluation,a branch would have led to the human race. Not only one branch but more branches. We know about neandor(I don't know the correct spelling) mans. But they are weaker species than us and we had destroyed them for survival.
