Life is unfair. Do you agree?

I just saw a sentence on my sister's blog- Life is always unfair, how much you want to get depends on how well you have done! What do you think of this? I agree partly, life is really unfair. I just heard a bad news that a disabled girl-my neighbor, who had no father but always did well in her study died this week. My first response is that life is so unfair to this little disabled girl! It says how much you pay how much you get, but for many times, it's wrong! But, no matter how unfair it is, complain is useless, i think what we should do is treasure our life, love ourselves and enjoy everyday. Do you think so?

Indeed one will always feel that life is unfair whenever they meet obstacles or seemingly unfair things. But we can never tell what will happen the next day, thus complain is really not a wise choice. You're right,we should be positive and enjoy life.

I used to think so when I was a little, but changed my thoughts as I grew up. Life is fair, because what goes up does comes down and what comes down will go up. I do agree with the statement that 'life is like a ball. Sometimes you're at the top and sometimes you're at the bottom'. As long as you continue living, lots of good thing will come your way. So stop complaining, and lead a happy life!

Hi, crystal. Life is very unfair and sometimes there is nothing that we can do about it. We just have to go with the flow. I am very sorry to hear about your neighbor. We should treasure life and appreciate what we have vs of what we don't have. If we think like this, then we will be blessed beyond comparison.

I agree life sometimes really unfair. The things that I want to have in my life doesn't happened at all. I'm very disappointed about where my life is heading. I don't know why God give us so many problems and sometimes we don't know how to resolve of them. There are some people out there who doesn't experience what I been through and I feel envy to them. They are no worries about their life and they are very blessed unlike me. I feel that life is really unfair to some people.

I believe that life is unfair.
If karma really existed it would never happen the common thing about good people always having bad experiences and bad luck. There's no balance in that.
Things in life just happen, not for any cosmic reason or anything, and they're not always fair.
If life was 100% fair I would say that life is fair, but I'm a little picky with percentages ;P

Partly yes. sometimes we make things look so but life is not always like that. when we let thing go without taking our firm stand against moral decay, the world will look like very unfair.

Before saying that life is unfair we should first try to understand what is fair in life. Perhaps you mean a hassle free life? Can you imagine that life - which will be boring to the core? The joy lies in handling well, precarious situations that are dished out to us.

I don't find my life unfair for me its just how I deal with whatever comes a long my way I can't afford what I want or even need but I don't blame my life for it I am just contented with what I have. Its only how we can handle things to make life fair for us. I may be poor but that doesn't stop me from being so determined to fulfill my plans atleast I dream to make things better for me. Not blaming my life to be unfair because I just can't afford to have things I like.

Hi. I used to think that way when I was young. Growing up, however, I realized that "we often get what we really deserve." It's just that sometimes, we tend to focus only on life adversities/miseries/difficulties. Oftentimes, we miss/fail to see/realize the various opportunities brought by these life crises.

I agree with you. Some people conveniently say that 'life is as unfair as you choose to make it' meaning that if you do the right things you can reduce how unfair life maybe in the future. They say that if you study hard and get good marks and get into a good profession that pays well then in the future you will be well off enough to afford the luxuries in life and the medical insurances that will make like less unfair if things go wrong.
Well I believe this notion is quite a fallacy, because if for instance you study hard and spend heaps of time, you are suffering because you could be studying less, playing games, have fun with friends etc. But even then your suffering because you by wasting time like that you won't get good marks.
But lets say you do get good marks, and you are able to get into a good course, you still have to study hard and spend heaps of time, and not have the time to spend with your family, friends etc. But lets say you do spend that time with family friends etc then your also suffering because your not studying to keep up your grades.
Well, lets say that you do study hard and you get a great job after university, well then you continue to suffer because your job may be boring, has long hours, has a lot of pressure, and your not able to spend time with your family.
As you can see life for the average Joe isn't fair at all, because at every stage in life you will be suffering. This is the Buddhist philosophy. And I apologize for indoctrinating you with such beliefs, but you are correct, life is unfair.
But it is how you deal with such hardships that will result in a less unfair life for you.

Life is unfair. Nothing any of us do will change this.
We can all waste time complaining about perceived unfairness, or we can accept the hand we are dealt, and do the best to live happy lives with what we are given.
You get out of life what you put into it. The harder, and smarter, you work, the more sucessful you will be.

This is the most lame discussion ever. I know life isnt fair. Everybody knows that but I think wat you want to know is how it is unfair. Well, kids in africa dont get to eat, americans, fat as cows chomp down on everything. End of story.

nobody says life is fair .. life is always unfair either for the homeless or the innocence killed in the war , not to mention others that i can get through mentioning. the thing is, our minds take a control of everything. it's about the state of mind. it's the attitude and character that shape us to a better survival.
a girl can feel miserable just to lose her wallet, others can be easy to lose a million dollar cash. it depends on our minds how to see it ... our attitude and perpective depends on us entirely to improve. the more we exercise the more we see that life is beautiful though .. (again) mostly unfair ( to some people )...
