Here are some ways I have tried to remove the tension, and stress at the end of the day regardless of why I have them. I try these ways so I don't look for the drug fix to help, plus who knows if the insurance company would even pay for them. I would put on some casual, comfortable clothes, and a good pair of shoes, and go for a 20 minute walk. When I got back from the walk I would light some scented candles. The ones that seem to work for me is the fruit scented like mango, lemon, and orange, other scents that seem calming are basil, and lavender. These scents a good walk, and sometime a short nap (time permitting) have worked for me in the past. Any other ideas out there other than drugs?

Hello Jackee and welcome to my lot. My way of getting rid of tension is chatting here on my lot. I also love to take a nice hot bubble bath, I lite a few candles and tell my honey it is my time to sit and relax. I like to walk too it is a nice time to think what I want to think. I usually go around the block and when I say around the block it is a two mile walk up and down hills. It takes about an hour or two if I stop and say hello to the neighbors. During the cool days it is best if I walk early in the morning. I don't turn on any noise when I am home alone I get sick of all the noise in this world any way. Oh well this is my way of relaxing. Hope you have a great day!

Most time, its my work..with ontime deliveries and work loads. I try to divert mind on music and i feel better. We need to manage anxiety, as it is part of life in busy world.
But if we concentrate, we can manage it. I does it through my yoga, listening music and going out on vacation.

My meds have worked wonders for me, but since you want other ideas, I usually listen to hard rock, particularly that from the 80s. There is nothing like hearing a good dose of Motley Crue to bring me out of the doldrums, and I am being very serious when I say this. Aggressive music tends to take away my own aggressiveness whenever I get tense.
