Yes I have and its very frustrating. At least when mylot post editor malfunctions you could curse Mylot, but what do you do if power goes of and your UPS has also given way and then you lost all work done. I have faced this more often than anything else. That is why sometimes when doing a long post it is intelligent to do it in MS Word and copy paste it. So, that takes care of all the possibilities.

Ah, good old TNEB at work. This is a regular phenomenon for us.

I deal with like others here. I type my discussion on Word and then copy and paste it on the site and if it gets lost, which it has on several occasions, I still have a copy because it is rather upsetting to type an excellent response only to watch it disappear! The problem is that you don’t have enough posts to your name in order to be able to copy and paste yet so you will have to be patient until you reach 500 posts which by the look of it, is not too far away. Hitches happen at times, it does not happen to me as often as it used to lately.

Yes, it has happened to me. I get so frustrated that I usually dont bother doing the discussion again. I hate wasting my time. I dont know why this happens? Whether its just my fingers hitting the wrong key, or some My Lot quirk, I dont know. Sorry this happened to you.

I have experienced the same thing on a few occassions. It seems to be one of the many glitches myLot have from time to time.

Are you using a laptop? We have a laptop and desktop. When either my husband or I are on the laptop we've noticed that sometimes we are typing and then the text just disappears. We think we're accidentally hitting a button to make it disappear. If your keyboard is small in comparison to your hands this could happen.

This has happened to me also rjvb26. Usually this happens when we write a long paragraph, and just when we are about to post it, some thing goes wrong. It is not the fault of myLot, but the fault of our internet services. Just before we post it, some malfunction or something happens in internet service, and all we have typed is gone. Some times, another thing happens also, that is the discussion or response is posted twice.

Oh yeah, I know how frustrating that is. Which is why I have formed the habit of copying what I write before posting. I don't think it's always mylot's fault though, there are just times when our internet connection just trips and everything we do just goes to a lag and needs to be refreshed. It's a pain though for those who hasn't reached the minimum posts in order to activate the 'copy-paste' option.

Hi, RJ! That was quite annoying indeed. It happened to me every now and then, but since I can make use the Copy & Paste facility, it won't be as hard as before. So, what I did before, I just copied the discussions in words document as I could still 'copy' but not 'paste' and if it disappeared, I had no choice, but to re-type the whole thing.

hello rj, it is very very very important that you should always type it or copy paste it in another application such as Microsoft word or Notepad. i know how you feel, it happens to me too, sometimes it's just log out all by itself. make sure you have another copy of this in another application because it can really be hard to recall the things you have just said.
