Alone for the holidays! Who else?

As Christmas approaches.. Again! This year I find myself boyfriend-less, alone, with no one to buy cute, sexy gifts for and no family parties (outside of my own) to go to. This sucks. It's always a struggle for me, especially considering almost all of my friends are attached at the hip to THEIR boyfriends. Is anyone else feeling this way? What's something that helps you through the holidays - when you have to spend them alone, such as me?

i definently know the feeling of being single, and i tend to fight with my family a lot so holidays for me are usually lonely. really there is nothing you can do except set your sights on what you want and push through the times that get hard, it can't be difficult all the time.

Often times I am alone on the holidays as well. I have to say it truely does suck but I guess thats what makes us tough and independant instead of having to be dependant on someone else to fill in that gap- in other words make us whole. I just hope someday I won't be alone on the holidays until then I will just keep thinking positive

Buy a cute fuzzy teddy bear for a needy child this Christmas season. Volunteer a couple of afternoons helping at your local food bank. Drop an anonymous care package off at the doorstep of a struggling single parent in your neighbourhood.
Maezee, there are many ways to be grateful for all that you DO have that many others do not. Your special someone will come along one day and fall in love with your kind, compassionate and giving nature. Who knows? Maybe you'll meet that special someone volunteering along side you at the foodbank

Sounds like a good year to start volunteering. There are so many organizations that can use an extra set of hands this year. You could call a church or school and get the names of some kids that you could spend the money you are saving on cute and sexy on.
Getting involved in helpng and giving to other people, will give you back that good kind of Christmas feeling.
And..you will meet alot of new people and maybe make some new friends. At least you won't feel quite as alone, if you can stay busy, you can replace that with the feelings that come from knowing you made someone elses life a little better.

For years I didn't have that special someone, even though I was never completely alone. I still felt as I was. Try to keep yourself busy. Enjoy time with your family, remember that you are no doubt a good person who is undoubtingly going through a rough patch. If you need someone to talk to, try and find a trusted friend who is willing to listen to you.
