we manage a apartment complex and live on property. we have people call at midnight wondering how much a two bedroom is. i mean really people. we have tenants that come over to pay rent at 1:00 int he morning. we have hours posted ont he door. then we have some that think they need to hang out in the office cause they have nothing better to do. one problem the office is my apartment. they start coming over at 6am and the office doesnt open till 8am. then we have some come over to tell us there neighbor left there house at 5am and doesnt work that early and wants to know why they woud leave at that time. i tell them i dont know and dont care and either shoudl they. the property has 40 apartments and you would think the epople here would have more to do then try to drive me crazy. we were watching a movie last night its sunday nioght we are not even open on sundaysits 9pm and people come over to give us work orders for like mini blinds that there animal tore up. then they come by to pay part of rent, then we have someone come by wanting to look at an apartment. then they come over and ask what are you doing oh wow a movie i have seen this this happens in it. well thanks alot for letting me know the end. i mean are people this dumb really or do we just seem to find the dumbest tenants on earth lol.

You have my sympathies..Liz and I did that for a few years..Its not that people are dumb. They're just downright inconsiderate. It seems like they believe that the most important person in their lives should be the most important in yours. They figure that anything that has to do with them or their living space takes priority over EVERYTHING else and that its not for you to have any private time away from the insanity of dealing with them and their krap..I know too well and have no qualms with saying I never want to do that again! Enjoy!

I agree with greenfeathers 100% on this one. I don't think people are getting dumber, but I do feel they are getting ruder and less considerate than ever before. We are developing into a ME, ME, ME society and it just leaves me shaking my head in disbelief. I would recommend that you try to reason with these inconsiderates, but that is just a joke, isn't it? You cannot reason with this type - they just are not capable of common sense or consderation.

Personally I think a lot of the problem stems to be that there are so many people out there who lead such busy lives, that it leaves others with no real time to spend around others, and maybe they've taken to TV and Computers being their life instead to where every once in a while they have to find someone to talk too even if the other person is not interested just to hear themselves talk. But I have heard this complaint lately from anyone who manages apts. as tenants seem to think if the manager lives there they can be bothered any time day or night for sure. But overall, I feel a lot of people out there are getting a lot dumber. Even out in the real work force. I see it all the time with people I work with, and see around me and it makes me wonder what is really happening for so many not to notice this happening within themselves for sure.

Most people are to stupid to realize what is going on around them, let alone within them. Yes, people are getting dumber. They as so hooked up on smart phones and other technology they can't think for themselves. It's the job of everybody else to think for them. When they go to retail stores, they think it's the employees job to shop for them. I understand they may need help, but they don't know how to ask for it. It's sad.

I'm so sorry to hear that. Maybe you should put some kind of wall between the office and you're actual apartment? I don't know. I would refuse to chat or even open the office door before office hours. Anyways, good luck! I hope things get better.

Hiya easymoney, I would not like to be in your shoes I really would´nt. I was once "President" of the Doorway in which we lived with 24 families of all sorts of People. Now most of them were okay just about and they did´nt bother me too much. They left me with all the debts that no one wanted to pay they used to come and try to get me to talk about other People specially the ones who were not able to keep up with the payments. I never did talk to them about that and they never had any consideration for the fact that I was pregnant at the time and I was having a really rough pregnancy. Most annoying of all was when that darned lift kept breaking and they practically refused to come and repair it until the arrears were paid off. Only and only because I persuaded them did they come back on the promise they would be paid as soon as possible. The lift broke at least four times in a row and I had the worst People ringing my Doorbell at three o´clock in the morning to ask me when was the lift going to be repaired not just one ring and foul mouthed words too. I even had to go and pay the light bill once so they would not cut the power of the lift off. Boy did I celebrate New Years Eve of that Year I could not wait to hand over the Books to the next People. Yes this happens in sunny Spain too (grin). Not all sunshine and roses eh?
