Is it health or wealth you would like the most?

I think that it is health without a doubt for me. I am accustomed to living a very moderate type of lifestyle. I couldn't imagine what my life would be like if we were to have a lot of wealth. On the other hand, I've seen many members of my family go through periods of bad health in their lives and it hurts for me to have to see them suffer. That is the main reason that I think that health is far more important than wealth in this life.

Health is wealth, so obviously I will choose health. When you are ill you cannot work at your outmost performance, you will stop and when you force yourself you will only get severe illness. And some people with illness or unhealthy are not accepted in some company. Being healthy comes from the process of doing everything like, eating the right food even it is not expensive, you can save money to use as your emergency fund. So you need to be healthy to be able to work to be able to buy healthy foods. It is like a cycle now.

I think having good health and to be comfortable would be the ideal. I don't need to be rich but I do need to be able to live and to help my kids. If I am able to do that without a hassle then I am rich. I am on SSI and receive benefits so that is not the total reality but I am not too bad off.

As tempting as money is I think health is my top priority. It's hard to enjoy life if you don't have your health.

I've never been much for wealth. Healthy would be my way to go. As for needing money to provide the right food, depends on the country. You can eat very healthy here in the US, and not need a thousand $ to do it.
I think the fact poor people eat worse food, is more of an effect, than a cause. I think poor people are poor, because they eat tons of bad food.
When I decided to start eating better, and to change my diet, I was earning just over the poverty level. Basic foods like rice, carrots, potatoes and so on, are not expensive, and far cheaper than McDonalds and other fast foods.

I am more interested in health an welth. If there was no health, then what would the point of wealth be? You can't really enjoy wealth when you are not healthy. LOL

I can pay for better healthcare with wealth than I can without. I guess I would say wealth instead of health.

From the last remark, we can see that they are relative to each other when we talk about health and wealth, but still I think that a good health is more important than wealth. With a good health, we can try our utmost to earn more money. If we suffer poor health, we can not make it as easily as we can when we enjoy a good health. As to the right food, I think that we can try to make it by having some balance in a day without eating the same food in a day...

yes, you do need the health to enjoy the wealth, but I'd be alot healthier with a little more money. I'd be able to buy more organic foods and see natural pracitnioners more often, get massages and take yoga classes....al things that contribute to more health.

Hi. I like to have both. But since I have to choose, I would prefer health over wealth. With good health, I could land a better job or I could have the energy to succeed in my business endeavors. If you have wealth but not good health, you might end up spending a lot, if not all, of your wealth to regain your health.

I would actually want both. After all without health what's the point of wealth. If you aren't in good health the world seemes limited to you so everything else is pointless. survival is the key thing to you. And, wealth is important as well. Without some form of wealth there is no way to get what you need which inclueds health care.
So they balance each other out in many ways. Because you may want both, but at the same time you need both.

Hi there Jugs
Yes I agree that health must come first, but also at least a little money is required for food, shelter, water- i mean at least for the basic needs.
I was with my dad once in the market and we saw a man who had a very expensive car (over 100.000$ worth ) but he didn't look happy, but rather sad, because he had a son that could not walk (he was in a wheel chair), so money can't be more important then health if you ask me.
Take care !

I would rather have health. Because if I'm not healthy, I can't go about my daily activities. It's health that is considerably more important. Besides, if you are healthy, then you can earn wealth (by working hard, etc.). More health and wealth to us!!! =)

For me health must come first. You cannot eat money! Having loads of money will not always allow you to live a long and happy life. There are lots of millionaires out there who are sick and unhappy.
Also, you do not need much money at all to be able to provide healthy food. Anyone can grow a very healthy food garden very cheaply. You just need a little knowledge and the ability to put in the work.

I would rather have health than wealth cause what happens if I lose all that money for whatever reason and I am too sick to even get out of bed and work for a living? I don't have the greatest health but believe me I regret taking advantage of it years ago you never know what you have until its gone so start being grateful for what you do have.
