I like to stay at home and wait until the movie is either on the tv or if it looks good buy the dvd to watch as then you can relax with a glass of wine where as you can not do that when you go to watch it in the cinema,as well as it is alot cheaper.

I prefer to watch movies at home when I'm in the mood to watch a movie.I don't like going to the movie theatre.I don't find it cozy to sit there and watch a movie.I feel much more comfortable at home.At home if I need to use the bathroom ,I can pause the movie.I can lay down at home if I feel like it.Better at home.

We don't want to spend the money to watch movies outside of the house unless someone invites us over to see a movie, in which case it's free anyway. LOL Theater prices have gotten absolutely nuts. We just wait till things come out on DVD, and then watch them here at home.

I have been to one movie in the theater in the last couple of years. We usually wait to buy the video or see it on tv. I would like to go more often but even during the day it is still expensive.

I think it is too expensive as well to go and watch a movie.I prefer to chill out at home as i think you get to hear all of the movie without anyone talking as well as you can pause it if you want to get things to eat and drink or if you need the loo.I also think they charge too much for getting in to watch it as well as for the refreshments.

I do enjoy going to the theatre to watch a movie, but for me that is a rare treat, by the time we pay for two tickets for the movie and then get a small snack to go along with it, we've spent as much money for that as we would have spent to buy the movie on DVD. Therefore, I will go to the movie theatre once or twice a year but that is all, the rest of the time we will buy a movie on DVD and watch it at our house and know that we are able to watch it as many times in the future as we would like to as well.

I have not been out to the movies since 2004. We went to see how the Grinch Stole Christmas. I have wanted to go again but I have just not had the time to do so. Our work schedule is too messed up.

I sometimes go out and watch movies in the theater. It would depend upon the movie and if there are offers from friends if they want to watch a blockbuster film. I also just wait for most movies to get on cable instead of watching them on the big screen. I sometimes rent movies when we dont have cable, or maybe there's a movie that Id want to watch sooner or later. I do agree that watching movies on tv is a cheap as compared to watching it in theaters.^_^

I think that I'm like you in that I love to watch movies at home and I tend to wait for them to come out on dvd or even better on the tv. I like the pay per view option as well whereby you can buy a movie for the night on cable, some of the movies are great and it's almost like going to the cinema although you are in the comfort of your own home. It's nice to snuggle up with a good movie at home and you can relax and eat those munchies and there's no one to disturb you! Andrew

actually i just came from the movie house. Yes i go out and watch movie especially if i have a big interest in the movie and i wish to see it on the big screen i really make and extra effort just to go to cinema. With or without my friends i really go but usually i go alone and i really dont care. Example if the movie is romantic love story i rather watch alone so i can understand better and relate the story to myself. LOL.

movies are meant to be seen in theaters and so its a insult if a movie is really good!!

Sometimes I was too eager to watch new, latest movie. That is why I like to watch movie in the cinema. The mood will be different because you can see a larger picture and clearer audio. However, the beverages is too expensive. It was unfair for the premise to not allow their customer buy their food somewhere else. Therefore I like to watch movies at home too. Maybe someday I will able to afford an LCD projector so that I will get the same experience as it is in a cinema.

yeah you're totally right! the thrill you experience at the theater is really fun! you get to shout, laugh aloud at times and cry if the movie is really great, and there are movies that you'd never want to miss at the big screen, right? but if you want to just "RELAX and ENJOY THE MOVIE" i would rather stay in the house for a more comfortable stay for i can choose to be in my room and lie down and that's a lot more cheaper too,,,hehehe... i also agree about home theater, it really rocks! i want to have one also...SOON

It depends. If I really want to see a movie I go to the movie theaters. If I can wait to watch a movie and/or want to watch it in high-def, I get the blu ray. If I want to see a movie cheaply and dont care about the quality of the video, i pirate it.

I agree with Espeonz. It depends on a few things for me. 1) what the movie is and if I feel I can wait for it to come out on DVD/on Demand, 2) if we have the extra money to spend on going to the theaters, and 3) if my husband and I haven't been on a date night in a while. But I do agree that renting a movie on demand and snuggling up on the couch in my pj's with my hubby when the kids are asleep is GREAT!!!!

I like watching movies in cinema, as the screen is bigger and also the sound and visual effect are much better as compared to my home TV. But, I agree that it's much more expensive to watch movies in the cinema, also there are some scenes have been sensored by the government.

If I really want to see it I'll go to the movie, but I'm like you, I like to stay in, get my own free Dr. Pepper and free popcorn (I paid at the store but its free out of the fridge). We even have little popcorn buckets that we fill up before the movie starts. And the best part is if somebody needs to go to the bathroom you can pause the movie and not miss anything.

Sometimes, I go to the mall's cinema to watch a movie. But only if it really is a blockbuster hit and has special effects best suited for watching in the movie theater. Other than that, I prefer buying a dvd and simply watching it at home. Watching movies at home is a lot more comfortable. One could lie down on the bed or sofa and have tons of food around you. Lastly, of course, it helps that watching a movie at home is super cheap. :)

I seldom watch movie to the big screen because I will just wait that it will be available in dvd's so everybody in the house can watch. And at the same time it cost cheap compare to watching in cinemas where you will pay a big amount and food to eat inside the movie house. So lets be practical the movie is just the same the only thing is you are watching in a small screen.

It depends on what is out in the theater. I did see the movie "Toy Story 1 and 2" in 3-D. It was a great movie. I do agree that movies are better to watch at home because you can drink and eat whatever is in the house without having to buy food or drinks at the theater. Food and drinks are so expensive in the theater. I also tend to buy movies that I really like. I rent it first then if I do not like the movie I do not end up losing a lot of money.
