It's pretty healthy to sleep for 12 straight hours every now and then. You are supposed to get about 9 hours a sleep a day, and of course since that never happens, a 12 hour sleep day is pretty much just what the doctor orders. I can usually never sleep past 9 hours though since I just get tired of trying to fall back asleep and think of a million things that I could be doing aside from sleeping.

Yes, sometimes. I shouldnt..but I have gotten into a habit of sleeping too long. I need to learn to wake up after 8 hours or so. But its so hard. My bed is so comfy!! :o) When I get a job I guess I will have to train myself to get up earlier.

haha...it is hard to overcome the habit of sleeping long hours! i can so relate to you..it is not good, doctors say, coz you might experience sleep inertia..

I really, REALLY wish I could. I am a bad sleeper and have been for years. I now sleep the best I ever have and I attribute that to a magnetic underlay on my bed, plus lavender oil to help soothe me. But even so I wake up every nintely minutes. Like a clock. It's so annoying. But at least now I can fall back to sleep in the middle of the night - but rarely after 6 a.m.

I can, I'm an insomniac and after I've gone for days and days with little to no sleep then I could sleep forever. I would sleep 24 hours straight if I could. When I get to sleep I want to SLEEP! lol
