Happier with lower expectations?

I saw a documentary that said that people in Sweden are the happiest people in the world. Their explanation for this was that because the expectations for these people were so low that it didn't take much to fulfill their life requirements. This means less stress, worries, and trouble. I get it, I do. My day to day life is a rollercoaster of emotions, especially when it comes to money and figuring out how to get more of it just to stay in the game. At the same time, I can't imagine living a life without the dream of doing better. I'd be miserable. The thought of always doing the same thing day after day, and knowing that is all you have to look forward to for the rest of your life? I'd rather deal with the stress, and live with a hope and expectation that I'm working towards something better. Am I wrong?

I think that to be happy, you just relax and take it easy.you don't have to pressure yourself when you failed at something.just let loose and tell yourself you can redeem yourself the next time.mistakes teach us lessons.just laugh at them.laughing can help you relax.life will be happier when we just let loose and relax.

Not wrong. It's just how you prefer things. Ultimately I prefer to have one high expectation and break it down into smaller ones as benchmarks. Meet all the benchmarks, fulfill expectation, start over with another bigger better one.
