Do you rush around?

If there is one thing that we can be sure about,it is that rushing around to fix everything,or to "get ready," is not going to do you any good.Move resolutely, but don't rush. There's a difference.Rushing removes resolution, often replacing it with panic or, at best, not well thought-out choices. So keep moving, don't stop but don't rush either. Don't race around. Sure and steady will get you there every time.

Hi Pose123, I never rush too much when I can help it. I am more of a "go with the flow" kind of person. To be honest panicky people scare me a little, I just think people need to stick to a pace in life that suits them.

It depends on what is going on. to force me to"rush" around. If I'm not given any warning and I know I'm keeping someone waiting. I tend to hurry. Though with my CP I have to do things in a quick, but even pace. Otherwise I'd have more broken bones. One broken ankle is enough for one lifetime, and I wasn't even trying to "hurry"

Sometimes I do but not often, but yes you are right it does cause panic, then not concentrating and then it gets worse, the best thing is to stay calm and try not to get to much in a tether

Hello my dear friend, Pose. I totally agree with you that it works more efficiently if we do things in a sure and steady way instead of rushing and racing around. Because if we rush and race around, we will have the possibility of losing the great steps we have well planned ahead of time. It is still better to do things step by step. The more haste, the less you will make it. In fact, I have experienced this by rushing and could not do my work any better. So I have figured it out that it is better for me to steadily work as usual instead of rushing. Thank you for your nice discussion. Have a good day.

I use to rush to do everything but never have i rushed to fixed anything, i have always taken it slow when trying to fix something because i don't want anything to break or fall down. I had to learn to slow down in doing other things though, because something is always falling down in my house when i move fast, so from now on i'm going to take a few deep breaths, and just take my sweet time doing things.

I am for ever rushing around trying to get everything done as well as trying to earn on line and sorting other things out.I tend to rush around and try to get as many things done as possible as well as see all the people i have to see in the mornings during the week i find that there are never enough hours in the day to get all that i want done.

Hi jugsjugs, Thank you for sharing. You can move quickly and be well organized, this is fine but rushing often means we are not organized and often panic and nothings works out right. Blessings.

I hate it when I am rushed. I call this situation 'pressing the panic button,' which puts everyone ill at ease. The moment the panic button is pressed, everything goes haywire. One cannot think and act straight, we forget things and we become disorganised.

I feel like I'm rushing around a lot too. It drives me crazy. I try to slow down and think about what I'm doing, especially on a school day, but then my daughter says "mom, hurry up!". Now with Christmas approaching quickly I feel really rushed to get everything ready.

ya, there are many people who rush around. They lack patience. They cant wait. You are absolutely right in saying that sure and steady will get you there. Rushing often lets you make stupid decisions. So take decisions slowly with lot of thinking. But at the same time don't take lot of time to take a decision.

I do not rush around. I give myself plenty of time to get ready when I have to be someplace so I do not have to rush around.

Well said Pose, It's only to plan your schedule with time. Something called "Time management". Rushing around will not only put us in trouble but also others for no reason of them. Nice to see such topics on discussion...

If I rush around, I'll go nuts. I make sure to see what's going on, and if it looks stressful, I'll come up with a plan B, even if I don't need to use it. That way if I need to use it it is there, but if I don't need to use it, it's still there. LOL I figure out how much time I need, and I don't leave things to the last minute.

you are correct since rushing doesn't really help too much since sometimes we need to do things twice just because the first time was not enough to fix the problem.

Yes, Pose, i think in most of the cases, we need to be calm and carry on with our duties with out rushing. If you rush, it may spoil the whole effort. Your brain won't be able to take right decisions when you rush up things. You can work fast with out rushing and that is the best way of working, Am I right Pose?

hi pose`123 yes just rushing around like a chicken with its head cut off will just make you crazy and not get things done at all smoothly at all. My son always says think first, get a plan then just work one step ata time until your project or whatever is all finished. and by golly that works time after time. You just go one step at a time moving steadily but slowly until you are finished. You are not panicked, you are not stressed and you feel great. you accomplished what you set out to do.I used to be a person who rushed around going in a dozen different directions at at once and accomplishing little but stress.]

Hi. Nice thoughts. When I was young, I used to rush around. I guess my motto then was "by all means - panic!" LOL! Slowly but surely, I was able to learn the importance of having a second thought - think over and over again before deciding/acting.

I try to not rush things and try to always go with the flow in life otherwise I may hit my toe on the door or something or I may even forget something and then I get mad at myself for getting the thing in the first place. I honestly believe we need to take the time and just go with the flow more often than we used to it would save us all alot of headaches and stress issues
