Hello BART78, thanks for your nice opinion. When you workout you really need supplements because your exhausting your normal body metabolism. Your making it faster that when your body cannot cope with that you will loose energy and will not achieve the true purpose of muscle building. Supplements will really be needed to compensate to your stressing workouts.

I think that even if we "eat right," we still need multivitamins daily because so much of our food is lacking in essential nutrients. Partly because of the way it's grown and partly because of the way it's processed, the food in the grocery store doesn't have nearly as many vitamins and minerals as it should. Even "fresh" food has been in storage for long periods of time, losing vitamins all the while.

Hello again peavey, I agree with you that not all nutrients that we are getting from fresh food we eat are 100% absorbed by our body. The storage, packaging, and even cooking process depletes most of its nutrients. Sadly we get only small amount of nutrients when we already eat it.

I'm taking prenatal vitamins, which is essentially a multivitamin for pregnant women - and for women who are nursing. It doesn't replace real food, but it does boost up the vitamins needed during this time . . . like iron or folic acid. I will say that if I don't take it in the morning, by afternoon I would be tired out . . . it does give me some form of energy too.

Hello much2say, thanks for your nice sharing of ideas. Prenatal vitamins are really presecribed for pregnant women together with Ferrous Sulfate so that they will gain enough nutrients in their body because they are bearing a child that will need enough nutrients too for normal development of the baby. Prenatal multivitamins are good also for non-pregnant people.

Hi :) I am taking multivitamins everyday, and I think it is helpful to take it. I do agree with many answers above that the food that we eat may not provide enough nutrients that we need on a daily basis, and sometimes it may be contaminated, processed and, etc. It's not like our ancestors has to worry about nutrition and health like us now. The pollution in the world and many diseases increase the needs for more nutrients to fight and to nourish the body. There is nothing like whole food from nature because it contains a lot more phytochemicals that work in synergy more than the synthetic vitamins that we eat. Some of it that human not yet discovered. (Which may be beneficial to our health as well) So I agree with both ways : Eat right and take multivitamins for the best nourishment and protection. We gain both ways. :) Sorry for a long answer. It is an interesting topic to discuss. Thanks!

Yes I take multivitamins in order to help me supplement whatever nutrients I miss by not eating the required daily nutrients intake that is recomended for me. I find it important because it helps me to overcome stress whenever my work is too pressured.

Hello happy2512, thank you for your nice reply. I agree that not all that we eat really supplements the needs of our body needs daily and it is important to have a balance diet. Not all the time we can have a balance diet and if you don't have a balance diet your possibility of getting sick will be increased.

Hello samwon, thank you for sharing your ideas. Do you think you had enough nutrients with all the kinds of foods and vegetables you are eating? I think that eating fruits and vegetables really helps in keeping you healthy and to have a longer life. I love fruits but not so much on vegetables.

Well I am not taking any multivitamins at the moment but I know that its very difficult to get all the vitamins that you need from food so I am thinking that I will start taking some centrum come the new year because I feel that at times something is lacking in my diet .Sometimes I feel far too lethargic than I should

I cannot take vitamins. After about a week I get real strange flu-like symptoms.I have tried several brands. There is one brand I can take but prefer to simply eat a healthy diet and then I don't worry about it.

I think multivitamins is good for you, but it only suppliments. It can'not replace nutrients from fresh food and veggies. And if your taking multivitamins that has an acid content it's really bad for you in the long run. It can activate hyper acidity. Why no look for food supplements instead. Those with alkali and live enzymes

Hello Boyetski, thanks for your opinion. I agree that still fresh foods are the best source of nutirents but what if you have no time cooking or eating those fresh foods? What if you are eating them and yet not enough? Taking supplemental vitamins will really help if you cannot have enough nutrients as what your body needs daily. The reactions of hyperacidity really depends on the vitamins you are taking especially ascorbic acids that can cause hyperacidity. Multivitamins will not cause hyperacidity than Ascorbic acid/Vit.C especially when you take it in full stomach.

Hey Genericbe, Hru? To answer your first question ,Yes.No one really is nourished sufficiently by their diet.Even if you eat healthy because of the depleted soils our foods are grown in they are nutritionally deficient.I am sure you have heard the adage:"An apple a day keeps the doctor away".Well it is now "10 apples a day keeps the doctor away".Thus it is virtually impossible to eat a balanced diet that meets our nutritional needs. We will have to really pig out on healthy foods lol. What a strain that will then be on our digestive system. Thus I supplement with 2 whole green food supplements that are multivitamins and multiminerals in one. To get info on these superb supplements that can be yours when you network with this company for free (as your commissions easily covers your monthly supplement order).
