hi htere, i like to listen osts, i like "unreal 1" osts," alone in the dark" osts and many others, i think that music is an important part of a videogame, not the quality of effects or graphics but music, story and environment. I like to listen anime osts, i like a lot anime and osts are great. And you friends? do you like to listen to anime or videogames osts? Thank you for your responses :)

Yes, I do like to listen to the OST in the games that I am playing. I find them fun and entertaining to listen to as I am playing the game. I like the background noises too. I know that some of my friends just prefer to play the game with no sound because they find it annoying.

I like to listen to both videogame and anime OSTs. I also agree that the music is a very important part for videogames. I could go without the graphics but the music is a must. It is used to convey the emotions and feelings for the storyline, like fast tempo beats for fight scenes and low melancholic ones for sad scenes. I enjoy listening the the Final Fantasy OSTs as well as other games like The Legend of Zelda, the Tales games, and the Castlevania games. As for anime, I don't listen to the OST as much as I do the opening and closing theme songs. I do, however, own a few anime OSTs like Beck, Somedays Dreamer (I like the piano melodies), and Hellsing.

Hell yeah!!
Absolutely mate! :D
I love playing game, watching anime, and movies. And each time I feel that the background music and OST are good, I search and download them from the internet. I have massive collection of anime and videogames soundtrack on my external harddisk. LoL. Song like Eyes on Me, Suteki da Ne (Final Fantasy), Believe from One Piece, and many others! Super Mario Brother? I have many arrangement of that song, from original, Jazz version, until Orchestra version.
Regards!

Sometimes I like listening to movies or anime OSTs too. They're usually to recreate a mood, so listen to the calm ones usually works to make me feel calm.
For example, when I feel stressed I listen to Amelie's OST. That music makes me feel well

I like the music from the RO and RO2 (online games). And I like animes OST but not those that are very rock ones. Some of Bleach's songs and Fushiji Yuugi's songs I like too. But I haven't been watching a lot of animes of late so I also don't what other nice anime's songs are out there.

I'm not much a fan of animes so I'm not really familiar with the OSTS aside from final fantasy. I used to listen to the instrumental stuff over and over on Youtube. Even though I wasn't really sure if those were fan made, or really a part of FF. As for video games, I do agree with you. If the music sucks, it would just make you lose interest in the game (unless it is beyond interesting despite the annoying music tunes.)
I don't have many friends who listen to anime and video game OSTS. My friends are more into rnb, hiphop and club. But I do remember my high school buddies burning each other anime OST cds. We somehow ended up realizing that we weren't meant to be friends after all. I never could relate.

I really do love anime OSTs, mostly those popular animes I watch. I don't wanna miss a single track on my playlist. Now, I'm currently downloading the akatsuki theme. Good day to all anime lovers!
