As I myself is a parent I will not be surprised with the kind of love you are giving your daughter. I also do love my son very much and would give him all the best. I am sure your princess loves you just as much too. She is blessed to have you as her parent and of course you are blessed to have her too.

Sacrificing your own benefits for your loved ones is one sign you love them more than yourself actually but there is actually more than that that only your inner self could explain. Of course, not all people can sacrifice their own for others actually but there are sacrifices that were done not because you love them more than yourself but because of different reason/s. Now if you can sacrifice your own benefits and your very self without any condition except because you truly love the person and you want the best for him then that is loving him more than yourself. You have good points dear! As far as husbands are concerned it is so hard to measure their love. Most wives complain about their husband's being quite selfish and not so caring. I'm glad I am not one of them. Thank you for taking time to reply to this discussion.

Loving others more than myself does not mean I don't love myself completely dear! I can always love others more but still maintaining my love for my ownself actually. That is very possible.

When you gave that intense love for someone who does not deserve, that is when you really get hurt. I think if your girlfriend does not appreciate your love for her then there must be something wrong. You've got to know what that wrong thing is. If she is not worthy of your love then go and find someone else who would appreciate the kind of love you give.

Yes singles tend to love mothers more but once they found their partner in life the love of the partner tends to be greater than the love for the mother.
