I think this is even closer to home. The way we always microwave everything. I know it is good that it heats up food quickly, but I know there is surely a downside to this. I don't have any proof, but I think this is somehow related with all the cancer that is associated with old age. Slowly, we're killing ourselves with everyday things.
Or, I'm just paranoid.

We (mankind) are certainly not taking care of the planet (our home) properly. We are making one big mistake. We think we own the planet and that we can do whatever we like without consequences. However we do not own the planet. We are only tenants. And soon the Creator of the planet will have an accounting with us and evict all bad tenants.

Hi snafushe,
I agree this statement, indeed we are killing ourselves or our posterity due to the environment which is being damaged day by day by ourselves, thus there are so many strange diseases that we never heard before. May be one day the judgement day will really come just like the scenes in movies, haha:) it's just my imagination, but actually we should protect the environment now.
Have a nice day! Ted

Do you believe this statement is true, as to what humanity has done to the environment, with pollution, green house gases ? Yes, this statement is certainly true. We humans have the brains have the technology to preserve this World for more than another 1,000 years but we are too caught with the word MONEY BUSINESS and COUNTRY. If we all work together, our world will be a better place

I like your attitude! I wish everyone shared this same outlook, and maybe we'd be getting somewhere. It drives me crazy the people that are so ignorant they don't want to face the fact that their everyday activities are slowly killing the world. When it's all coming to the end, they'll feel stupid for spending all their time on earning money for that new gas guzzling Hummer.. especially when the earth swallows it up, and then goes on to swallow them up.

If you watch national geographic and some of the other nature channels, as well as Discovery channel you would see what is happening for real. Yes I believe that we are really destroying our lives, as well as the world with what we are doing. Global warming is just a part of it.

Thanks pmbhuntress, I'm aware of that, and I do watch those channels, I wouldn't make a discussion about this if I didn't know what I was talking about. I was just giving an example of what is slowly bringing our world to its knees. I know what is happening for real, maybe you should educate the people that don't?

we are killing ourselves... not only by pollution and green house gases.. rather by eating the poisonous food...
how many of us know we are eating poison daily... daily we are consuming slow poison.. which food doesn't have harmful chemicals( in the name of destroying the worms and insects in the form)?... we eat that food only... if this chemical is poisonous to a worm, it will not affect us ah???
When comparing about this factor, pollution and green house gases are nothing..

I think that we are doing horrible things to the environment. Studies show however that if we make changes NOW the damage is still reversible. If we wait 10 to 15 years though it will be nearly impossible to repair the damage. The sad part is that so many are resistant to change. they think that green house gases and global warming are all bs. That may be true but that 12 mile pile of our trash floating in the ocean is real enough. Our dependence on foreign oil is real enough. My too high electric bills were real enough too. It takes very little change to make a difference in the world. If the world isn't important enough to you take a look at your own pocket. Small changes make a big difference in monthly bills and if you accidently help the world is that such a bad thing? Yay for curbside recycling and compact florecent bulbs.
