terrile Sadly I think this is true. Often people take what they are told as truth with no fact-checking (hence urban legends) no evidence (hence religion) and no reason (hence our current US Gov.)

terrile I withdraw small amounts thru the year and tuck it away where my husband cant find it and pay for his gifts out of that. The amounts are usually about 20 USD taken during checkout at the grocery store. He never suspects a thing.

terrile we didn't use credit, we spent cash. Because I waited til the very last minute I probably spent more than I had to. Next year I am shopping all year long and having it done by Nov. 1st so I can enjoy the holiday more.
