For my husband and I, it's tomorrow. We're celebrating Christmas eve with a German friend nd we're cooking for him. I am half Danish, so we do pretty much the same thing on Christmas eve anyway, so it works for us. We have to go to the store and get food for dinner, wrap our gifts to eachother (all other family gifts have been wrapped and sent where they need to go) and pack a small suitcase, because Hubby and I are heading to Toronto for a mini vacation, bright and early, Christmas day.

Hi danish, Congrats on your Christmas trip to Toronto! Sounds like fun! I am in BC.
My last minute prep day for Christmas is today. Tomorrow I travel and then the festivities begin.
Delivering gifts on my way out of town tomorrow sometime, then after Christmas, before New Years, I will unite with other family members.
New Years will be celebrated with Family at home.
Wishing you a warm happy and safe Season. Merry Christmas!

I didn't really have a day as I didn't buy any gifts for anyone, I never do anymore, just no money for that. My family understand. My grandson is getting a double present from us on his birthday a big one that will be a combined christmas and birthday gift.

That would be tomorrow night. First German Christmas tomorrow and then American Christmas the next day. Gift wrapping marathon in between...

Well. for my family, we aren't celebrating Christmsa day on the 25th. We are celebrating it on the 28th. That way, all of my kids will be able to celebrate with their families first, and will be able to come home to even more presants. I let them know I couldn't get them anything until the 27th, because we paid our bills and won't have money again until then. I thought they would all be mad at me, but as it turns out, they aren't. They like the idea of spending a day with each other, with out rushing to make it by the 25th. I have the coolest kids I've ever met.

We are not doing Christmas party at our home, so there is nothing much to do with food. When we do the party at our home, last minute preparation goes to the Christmas day. But thats only inside the home, outside stuff gets done one or two days before at least.

With me it is also tomorrow. I have not even started to wrap my gifts and they have to done by Christmas Eve Morning. I like how the gifts look after they are wrapped by I hate doing it. I just went and bought a bunch of Christmas bags and a load of tissue paper that way I can just stuff weird shaped gifts into the bags.

Nothing, its all done. We are just going to relax on Christmas Eve and then wake up whenever on Christmas day and open gifts.

My last day for last minute preparation would be Christmas Eve day. I try to get the last minutes things done before Christmas Eve night so I will not be up all night trying to get things done for Christmas Day then I will be tried.

Well, Christmas Eve would have to be the last preparation day for us. We don't have to worry about picking up family members from an airport or terminal. But you have to buy the food stuffs and other things on Christmas Eve because many of the store are closed on Christmas day.

Honestly. We prepare at the very last minute. On the night of December 24. We prepare all the foods and then we also buy gifts on that day. I call it Christmas in a rush. I think not all people do that, but we are all very busy that is why this happens. Merry Christmas. Enjoy.

We have always had our celebration on Christmas eve. Though we are away from family, we continue this tradition and are with them thanks to skype. So...tommorow is a panic day for me. Last minute gifts and grocery shopping. Every year I promise myself that it will be different next year. I'm endlessly optimistic so here is to next year. :)

The 23rd (tomorrow) for me also. It's been snowing so much here that I've barely been able to get out of the house.
I really hate shopping on christmas eve- so I am determined to get all my shopping done tomorrow if it kills me :)

I hope to get all my shopping done and wrapped tonight, the 22nd, but it might be into tomorrow night depending on what I get accomplished tonight! I have had some issues with a check I am expecting and a good friend is loaning me money, in the form of a store card, until I get my money, and I have to get it from the post office today. Of course, I am babysitting and my daughter is picking it up for me and didn't take the slip with her, but hopefully she will come back and get it so it will be in my hands today. I would have gotten it yesterday, had I NOT been watching her girls then! I can only remember being in such a dilemma one other time and that is when my kids were small and I did all my shopping in one night and the check bounced!! lol

Well surprisingly enough this year we have all of our gift bought and wrapped and ready to go and still had the last week to relax which feels so nice like a weight lifted because normally husband and I are still doing catch up up until Christmas eve and I hate that because I hate wrapping so close to Christmas...we are staying home for Christmas and I am also thankful for that because I couldn't imagine packing for a trip on top of everything else LOL...Happy holidays

Hi! For me the last day for preparing for Christmas is Christmas. Then i take my list with the food and drinks I need and go to the supermarket and buy all the things I need- meat, vegetables, fruits, soft-drinks and so on, and so on!
