yes, I went to college in the Pacific Northwest, so I saw plenty of snow then. It rarely snows where I live now, but I guess it does manage to snow enough to cover the ground once or twice during the winter every four years or so.

I have seen it. I was fortunate enough to live quiet close to the mountains which have snow in the snow season.

We get a lot of snow. It isn't unusual to see the amount described in feet instead of inches. We are in one of only a couple places world wide who get lake effect snow.
In most areas I have lived, the word snow causes a panic. People buy all the bread, milk, and water in the store, buisnesses shut down etc. Here, you say its gonna snow and people "yeah? What else is new?"

We get A LOT of snow. Actually, I live in one of only 2 places that gets a phenomina called lake effect. Lake effect gives us much more snow than anyone else. Its funny because other places freak out, raid the stores, stock up on water, bread and milk when they hear the word snow. People here are like OK, and your point is???

Even though I was born in Miami, Florida, I've seen snow. I played in 10' snow drifts in Idaho one April. It also snowed in Panama City, Florida (up in the Panhandle) when I lived there, but you had to be up before daylight to see it because it melted right away. It also snowed here in Ft Lauderdale in January, 1977 and I nearly fainted.
