What's the use of buying books? We already have e-books!

I was just thinking, e-books are already rampant nowadays. Does it mean goodbye to those soft and hard bound copies. Anyway, sometimes they are hard to carry... I mean you got a dozen of books to carry from home to school, but it will be a lot better if you can carry your laptop with uploaded e-books.
However, on the other side, I'm use to reading binded books. hehe...

I love the convenience of ebooks and have several on my computer. There is just something about an actual book tho. Because I have been an avid reader for so long I find just the feel of a book is...well...comforting. And I love really old books, the texture of the pages and the smell. I'm nostalgic that way. Curling up with a kindle on a rainy day just doesn't sound as inviting somehow.

I can't imagine replacing reading a bound book with an ebook. I have to stare at the computer all day for work, then go through personal emails, spend time on sights like facebook and mylot . . . with all the things that I do on the computer (that I couldn't do otherwise) I get tired of staring at a computer screen! Reading a hard bound book doesn't make my eyes nearly as tired as trying to read something on the screen. Sometimes if I have to read a long article or instructions online, I'll print them off just so I can look at them on paper. I find paper easier on my eyes and easier to concentrate on. That could be just me, but I think I'll stick with my hardbound books for my leisure reading!

i my gosh i love e books although i love the good old fashion hard cover books, but e books are great for when you are cleaning the house your tired of listen to music, or you want a exciting voice to spice up your imagination, they are great for road trips can't be stuck having your eyes and hands on some book. ha ha ha you can check your local library they might have a good selection that you can download from home all you need is your card and another good place is called audible. no it dose not mean to say goodbye to hard cover books because all the good books are not on audio yet!!! or good knowledgeable books from the past my friend had a book from the early 1900's so precious books like that cant be replaced. and who dose not love that sound of crisp pages turning ever so slightly. and the smell of an old rusty book or a fresh clean book no audio can replace that.

I love reading! I read like 3 books a week. I recently discovered the joys and convenience of reading through my Iphone using the Stanza apps and I've been downloading e-books like crazy. Although I love my e-books, there is just something about buying books that really makes me sigh with satisfaction and contentment as soon as I finish reading one. So, whenever I buy book, I only get books of authors I really really love and I've already proven to be worth reading especially if they are a series. :)
