Have you been to the Maldives?

I went to the Maldives in 2005. I am an independent traveler. I got a flight there and then a boat over to Asdu Island. I stayed there is a room overlooking the sea. Everyday I went swimming in the crystal clear water. I did lots of snorkeling. I was walking along the shore line and in the shallow water I saw some baby sharks. Wow! Next I explored the capital city and stayed in a guest house there. Then I flew out to Gan Island on a tiny plane. I saw the islands and the reef from the plane windows. It passed the Equator. It was an island with a bridge up a chain of islands. I hired a bike and went off exploring. The Maldives is a tropical island paradise. Whilst some of the locals earn less than a dollar a day most tourists spend hundreds of dollars every day. Accommodation is expensive on the islands at the resorts. It is a romantic destination and is popular with honeymooning couples. I am shall you will have a magical like honeymoon there. I love the Seychelles and I like the Maldives.

hi adacoco,i was visited Male the capital of Maldives in the year of 1990 itself,there are lot island scattered in the Indian Ocean,Airport is in one island and the capital city is in one Island,we have to travel from Airport to Capital city,by small passenger carrying ship,there i have stayed 3 nights in private guest house, 4 beds in a room, i have paid 8 dollars per night per bed, the water is very lovely and blue,it is very beautiful islands
