In the days before mp3 players I use to listen to the car radio or my Walkman, but now if I'm going for a car ride I listen to my mp3 device instead of the radio, now the radio is only a once and a while thing.
If your going for a car ride witch do you prefer to listen to your mp3/ipod or the car radio and do you think radio is or will become obsolete??
Oh keep in mind that I mean riding as a passenger in the car not while driving.

I like to use my car radio and CD player to listen to music when I drive; Not only because I like to open my windows and turn the music up really loud (lol), but also because its easier to adjust volume and hear firetruck or ambulance sirens. It just feels uncomfortable to me to listen to music through headphones in the car.

I would go by the my in built player in my car which contains all the latest songs and helps me to drive on with ease and enjoy it .some times when any important matches are going on then i would turn on the radio so i can catch up the latest scores else i dont like listening to radios.gud day.

Definitely my Ipod just because there are no commercials and I can control what I'm listening to. Sometimes I will put on NPR (national public radio) though to listen to a specific show, like Wait Wait Don't Tell Me, which is hilarious. Cheers!

hi apples99
while taking a car ride anything nice to the ears would be the best one to hear except the horns of the vehicles,etc.....

I rarely get to be a passenger in a car because most of the times, I end up being a driver. When I go on a trip with someone, I usually have a conversation with people in the car so I don't really listen to anything. Radio in my car is kindda broke so I can't really listen to it. There are times when I took a bus trip somewhere & I listen to my ipod but that's usually only time I get to listen to anything when I'm on a trip.

I usually like to listen to the radio when driving, because I get to find new and different music than what I would listen to of my own selection. Often I will hear things that I later go home and download, because they're something I haven't heard before and I really like it!

I would much rather listen to my iPod instead of the radio if I am taking a trip somewhere in my car. I love listening to the local radio station in the mornings because they have the morning talk show, but other than that I really don't like listening to the radio because they play the same songs over and over and have so many commericals. I also have a very eclectic taste in music, so I may be listening to Classical music and the very next song could be Christian Rock. I am a music junkie, so I have thousands of songs from many different genres on my iPod.

Regardless of wether I'm the driver or passenger, I almost always listen to my ipod. Thank goodness for car adaptors that let you listen to your ipod through the car speakers.
