hi there,
I prefer using YM because I have it for years and that's the only instant messenger I've got. Most of my friends are using it and relatives too. I also have gtalk..but rarely use it.

I usually use AIM if I have to, mainly because I've been using it for years, but also because almost all of my friends have usernames on it, and are occasionally on. I find myself just chatting on Facebook though, when I'm online, rather than opening up AIM. I feel like messengers are going out..At least where I live and within my group of friends!

I have Yahoo, Aim, Msn, and G-talk. Out of the four of those I'm on AIm the most. If I want to use the others I simply go to meebo and log onto my account where I have all of my names interconnected. I also have messanger on my laptop, and I'll occassionally use it, only because it came pre-installed on my computer. Why waste it if it came as part of my system? I have one or two friends I talk to on there on a regular basis, so its not a complete waste of computer space.
