Any tips on the Philippines?

I am planing to take a trip to the Philippines next October for about a month. I mainly plan to stay around Misamis Occidental. Does any one have any tips about places to see, and things to do? Also any tips on local coustoms would be helpful.

Palawan Philippines a good place to go.... ejoy the relaxing beauty of nature, high cliffs, corals, caves and white sands.

redirect your trip to some more safe, like boracay, cebu, bohol or palawan if beach front is your escape here, most part of southern philippines is not safe, you can check some tips thru online for more guide..

don't bring or plan to wear any long-sleeved tops here. i suggest that you bring mostly sleeveles tops and shorts. i also suggest, if you wear lotion, to opt for oil instead for you might end up sticky. havianas would do just fine even in malls. and yes, bring a cap.

It's a nice place, warm people. Just stay away from the muslim areas and you'll be okay. Apologies for the muslims member here, but the abbu sayyaf is hiding in muslim areas.
