Have you, or would you, be an Elementary, Junior High or High School Teacher?

Our children are in school Monday thru Friday for approximately 8 hours per day. Yet, our Teaching Staff is shrinking while the population grows. The way things are today, would YOU be willing to teach our children and young adults?

I guess I wouldn't mind it too much. But would have to be elementary school. Junior high or high school kids, between the hormones in the kids and the attitudes, I'd end up in jail for battery on a minor lol. I wouldn't be able to handle a kid acting like jerk and smarting off and not be able to do anything about it. Hats off to all those teachers that have to deal with problem kids like that!!!

I agree with you! It has often been suggested that I go back to school to become a teacher. My problem with that is when they took discipline out of the teachers' hands AND a few teachers crossed the line and began 'dating' the students, they COMPLETELY lost me! I have a great respect for everyone who has chosen this field as their career.

I don't think I have the patience to be a teacher, and that's an essential quality.
