My daughter "kidnapped" me today! She knew I am overly stressed so she came and picked me up unplanned. She took my cell phone away and then took me to dinner and a movie! It was very cool! anyone ever "kidnap" you?

She took me to see Blind Side. It was a great story. It is based on a young man's life and they show pictures of him at the end. I always enjoy books and movies about real life situations.

No I have not been in a kidnapping and do not wish to be into one in the future! The sort of kidnapping you were into was actually a cool one!

Yeah I don't mind being kidnapped like that. I am sure a "real" kidnapping would be a very scarey experience! Wouldn't like that and might not give up my cell as easily!

That is so nice of your daughter to do that. You should be proud of her that she saw how much you needed to get out and away from the everyday stress of your life. I hope you had a great time with her. No I don't recall ever being kidnapped to that extent.

Yes, she's great. She knew I would like the movie, and I did! She also knew I wouldn't take the time or money to go see it myself! So.. she kidnapped me!

Hi Macdingolinger, what an awesome daughter and I'm sure it helped you out to relieve some of the stress. I was "kidnapped" once for a 17th birthday. My best friend at the time, from high school, came to my house, told me to wear something nice and so I wore a skirt and blouse. She literally blindfolded me and drove for about 45 minutes. She had this planned out completely. I had no idea where I was and she walked me to this location and said I had steps to climb. I wanted to take off the blindfold but she wouldn't let me. That is a weird experience to be blindfolded and walking steps, also the skirt didn't help. At the top she led me to a rail and said hold on. I was a little panicky but she took the blindfold off and I was looking out to a body of water. I was aboard a ship! She had made brunch reservations on a cruise ship that travels along the river for about 3 hours. It was wonderful and crazy but I had a blast and even though I had a great time, it showed me how much I trusted her because the whole experience is pretty unnerving even with someone you trust!

She didn't blindfold me, but talked about it! She did take my cell phone though. She told me kidnappers don't let you keep your cell phone! lol! I did need the stress relief and really enjoyed the movie!

I may be one of the few here who can say yes. It was one late evening in Manila, I left the church hall at 11 pm and boarded a public jeepney for home. As I unloaded from the jeep a corner away from my house and walked a few steps toward that direction, a man who also unloaded from the same jeep before me intercepted me. My initial shock was followed by another shock. Another man who unloaded after me from the same jeep grabbed me from behind and stood beside me. The one before me also grabbed me and stood on the other side. After a brief interrogation, they forced me to walk toward another direction. I was like Jesus in between two robbers...
