I liked XP and fought with my techy with the vista thing, I had heard way too much on that so I was going to stick with xp then my techy started trialling Windows 7 and he thought I would like it, so I I checked his out and thought it looked good, so now I have Windows 7 and I love it, it takes a little to get used to it as it is a little different but it is not all that different from XP, just a bit better....

I was running XP a few months ago and everything was perfect and doing very well for me until I fell in love with Vista and installed a Transformation pack of Vista and corrupted my XP! I was not a OS GEEK then, so I called in a service engineer and he installed Vista for me for 15$ and I loved it! Then, BOOM went Vista after a week! Then, XP again and then this super duper fantastic WINDOWS 7 which is running successfuly for more than two months now!

I think the best is Windows 7 because Vista never fixed if there was a new version for OS, I still using XP and for Windows 7 many people give positive response for this one. I am sure I'll like upgrade to Windows 7.

Personally, out of the three, I still really prefer XP. That was an operating system that started out shaky but really worked out. The other two, I am just not really feeling and perhaps its just me, but with each passing operating system, they are getting worse. Technically its supposed to be the opposite. So, XP all the way, I'm going to have that operating system on my computer for as long as I can and I'm going to get dragged away from it kicking and screaming.

go with XP SP3. XP and W7 is pretty much the same. Vista is JUST HORRIBLE They hve busg that the OS doesn't even notice yet and sometimes some programs don't even work on Vista. Now that's a problem dontcha think? Stick with XP but W7's gonna expand worldwide and probably dominate over XP soon.

If i write about Xp, Vista and Windows 7 now, its gonna take me a whole week and more than 500 pages perhaps. i think before you ask us, you should visit a site called www.microsoft.com and find it out yourself. also cnet.com is another interesting website you can refer to. asking users to compare 3 operating systems is lame buddy. Anyway, i suggest, if your pc meets the system requirement of windows 7 then just upgrade it. its worth it. win 7 has lot more features and is more customizable than xp and vista. also with the new direct x 11, you get visual galore ! the GUI is the simplest in windows7. the environment is linear and you basically know what youre doing. Windows 7 is very stable too. go if you are ready, just upgrade.

Hi John, We had XP on our first computer and I was fine with it. Then when we bought a new PC, it had Vista, which I wasn't keen on, having heard some bad things about it but I have to say after using Vista, I'm ok with it.Haven't tried 7, might give it a o when it becomes free Lol

As per my experience Windows XP is the best of all. Even Vista is good but many people do not know about its operation.

I can't properly compare windows seven to the mix because I don't have it. I have read about it, and its suposed to be a combination of windows xp and Vista taking the best features of both and adding in a sleek new look and design. My understanding about it is it is suposed to support software from both XP and Vista. Out of XP and Vista, I perfer Vista. I don't do much as far as the computer goes. And what I actually do I find to be a lot faster with Vista. The return of the navagation system in windows to make every or just about ever window like a web browser with bulit-in search. Those features are very interesting to me. I can quickly navagate through the start menu a lot faster as well as the quick search helps me find programs faster. I can type the program I want into the box and hit 'enter' and it launches it for me. No more second-guessing myself. Over all I think Vista is the best system for me. I'm a blind user and it makes things a lot more clear when it comes to conicitivy, and other problems. bulit-in secerity features only help make it a plus.

Why isn't MS-DOS a valid response?

for me, as for the versions out today, i will stick to XP because i think this is the most stable OS today. There some glitches/bugs reported to the newly released windows 7. until they fix those bugs reported, i think that'll be the time windows 7 leave xp & vista behind.

I opt for XP, Vista sucks. My office laptop has vista and this has so many issues, Performance, netwroking and also uability factor. Where as XP is good in usability, networking and performance

well, xp is a fast OS and Vista is crap. Seriously, the sp2 of vista will render the search function in the start menu useless. It takes a lot out f the ram too but good security even though it is annoying. 7 is as fast as an xp with a security like vista but without much of the prompts. The best choices would be xp or 7. It is up to you whether you like simplicity or all the eye candy

I think Window7 is best..... becuase it have graet utilaiization of system hardware... so your hardware work properly for any software... it is actual enhanced version of vista... which remove the vista's problem.. and include Xp's good features.... most of driver are automatically installed with window7. for mine PC.. i just install window7 and my computer ready for work .,... without installation audio and video drivers.

Hi JohnBailey, I personally like Window's XP, I never had any problems and it ran nicely. I had Vista on my last laptop and I had no problems with it but my new laptop which is coming in the mail this week has Window's 7. I personally don't care that it has Window's 7 on my new laptop, it just happens to come with it. My best friend who knows a lot about computers told me that Window's 7 isn't different from Vista, their basically the same thing. Obviously if their the same for the most part than it was a waste of money to come out with 7. From what I've heard most people like XP, I do, I was use to it and never had any problems with it at all. I never knew of anyone having glitch problems with Vista or Window's 7 yet but I'm sure I'll hear about it.

In my view I still like WinXp Pro. Vista still have some driver problems and it does not support some games which are released before 2006. Win 7 is very new and it has many driver problems. WinXP supports almost all the drivers, software, games and many more. And still developers develop their software primary keeping WinXP as their first priority OS. I hope you got my point.
