Sometimes it feels as if life is a popularity contest. How many friends do you have? How often do you go out? How many people responded to your facebook status?
I've never seen life as a popularity contest but a a chance to make the best out of your life, be the best person you can be and create more happiness than sadness.
Do you see life as a popularity contest?

life is open to multiple interpretations based on one's experiences.i do not view life as a popularity contest though friends do hold important place in my life.i am friends with them because i appreciate their presence in my life and because i see it as a ladder towards popularity.i do agree that one should put all efforts to bring happiness to others life.

Yes, my friends are my friends not because they are popular (and can help me to be) but because I truly like them.

Most of the time we must accept the fact that life is indeed like that. But im my personal opinion I don't totally believe in it because most of the the time they will be friends with you because of their personal intentions.
Yes, I will agree with you. Just go with the flow and never discrimination nor jurisdiction get in the way of achieving your goals and dreams for yourself and for the people around you. That's life .... and that's just the way it is :)

True, sometimes we just have to make best out of life without trying to just be liked.
