I think that it would be wise for you to stay single and to enjoy life at the moment. You are still young enough to go off traveling, go to discos and to do some sports. If you get into a committed relationship you might find that you stay at home a lot and don't have money for traveling. It would be better if you could wait until your mid twenties before you get married or have children. At age 18 it is wise for you to study or begin a career. Good luck.

practically speaking it would be better to be single .but i have seen people who get committed at very young age and have maintained a great relationship later into the life.it depends on how matured you and your friend are.getting committed doesn't mean losing focus of one's life goals.if both are responsible and cherish eachother's dreams.then committment at this stage can mean growing up together for a meaningful life.but this may not always happen as things appear too rosy at 18 for most of the kids. whatever you decide just don't loose the bigger picture of life.god bless

Even if I knew the situation I don't think I could give a straight answer..BUT..from personal experience, Liz and I got together when I was 35 (she was 40). I'm now 57 and we're still together. If the situation you're in is real, I'd think it'd still be real tomorrow.. Does it help?..Enjoy!

at your age? enjoy your life being single so there's no regret later on when you will be commited to somebody, but if your girlfriend or you are pregnant, it is different story...be responsible for it..that's all i can say..
