How secure are you in your job? Do you feel that tight knot of fear in the pit of your stomach with every passing day? What steps,If any,are YOU taking to make yourself indespensible at work?

I make myself indispensable by plain and simple hard work. I do more than I'm asked (within my bounds of course). I learn from my mistakes. I strive to do things right the first time and correct them immediately after doing them wrong. I ask questions about what I do not fully understand. I understand how I learn things and use methods that work for me to get the job done.

Indeed a nice discussion.
I have been working with a BPO from past 16 months and every passing day has been a learning event for me but yes there is still a fear of insecurity of job as far as my performance is concerned.
To ensure that everything goes in place I try to keep myself up to date in terms of professional skills and technical skills as well......but at the end of the day we really cannot predict the future...!!!
