I must admit, I think the Nintendo Wii revolutionised the game console industry. I love the games because it is so much more active and involves a lot more than just pressing buttons very quickly. I never really got in the Playstations or Nintendo DS or any of the other consoles.
What is your favorite game console and why?

Wii is defininantly the best gaming console for kids and when you want to have fun with the family and friends. But the Xbox 360 is the best console right now because of the online play and the great graphics and the many things you can do on the dashboard. The Xbox 360 even has a game called 1vs100 just like the old tv game show where you can win games and microsoft points. No other gaming console even compares.

Ive never played video games but my children have Xbox, playstation 3,Nintendo Wii DS lite, and a PSP. From what i see they enjoy the Xbox the most for online gaming with other peopl. I wish they would use the Wii more because it would get them moving! I think the Wii would have alot more benifits for hand eye coordination as compared to just the button type hand control that the others have.

Wow, your kids are well equipped. I agree with you on the Wii though - it certainly requires more movement.

I got the xbox 360 arcade last year and I'm really happy with it. It has a lot of scary/action games that I like and the Achievements points are really cool, they give the games more replay ability. I still wouldn't mind having the Wii,since I grew up with nintendo and also the playstation 3. They're all cool in my opinion!

sports are boring to play they need to add stuff like blitz the legue has ilegal hits that you can do without penalties which is funny, and i think fight night is probably the only sport game that is fun

I own a PS2, a PSP, a PSOne (the mini psx), a DS lite, and broken X-Box (not a 360). I had a Wii but I wasn't playing it anymore so I traded it an a sort of local EB Games for my PSP. That said I seem to be somewhat Sony leaning. I suppose I have an NES sitting around somewhere, and a Gameboy Colour as well as advance. Although I suppose I shouldn't be mentioning hand held systems as you asked about consoles. :p
I was amused by the Wii at first, but the novelty wore off pretty quick once I realized that the "new innovative controls" were either broken or not used in the types of games I tend to play. In most cases I skipped over the wiimote and used a game cube controller whenever possible. I haven't yet played a 360 but my encounters with a PS3 have been positive enough to have me currently saving up for one. So for the moment I'm going to saying my favourite console is the PS3.
I like the 'trophies' thing that they have though if I recall correctly the 360 also has that. But the system also let's you create user profiles for each person who uses it so you don't have to sift through save data for several different people. It'll play blu-ray which I honestly don't really care about, but I can also put video files and music on it. I have no idea if it'll let me make play lists and use those in game like the x-box did with a lot of it's games, I can only hope so. Finally, there are more titles out for the PS3 that I'm interested in than any other console at the moment. That and in my opinion the 360 is more aimed at people who want to do online multi-player stuff. Which I'm not terribly interested in. The only multi-player I usually want to do is with people I actually know.

Blimey, you could open a hardware store! I never even thought of using gaming consoles for playing videos. I guess there is more to them than meets the eye!

I just had that view of my mother-in-law on the Wii! She's 80, so it was a funny picture! But she might actually enjoy it!
