Communication, trust and respect, which is most important?

For any relationship to form, there is a need for a clean and clear communication between the parties involved. Trust or respect cannot be given to a person if we do not know the other person. The way I see it it is more like a vicious cycle. First some form of communication occur between us and the other party. Based on the content or message of the communication, we begin to trust the other person. Respect comes next. With some trust and respect towards the other person, we become more prepared to communicate further, thus increasing our knowledge about the other person. This in turn increases our respect and trust towards the other person. In summary I put communication at the front.

In my opinion the most important is RESPECT.. it independently moves in all aspects of life. If this is happening in a relationship there many ways you can get to good outcome. If this exists everything can be altered and every good qualities in a relationship will follow.. What is trust without respect? it will lead to doubtful thinking. How can a person trust fully when he never respected a person in his totality. A person who trust knows how to respect other people and possible indifference. What is communication without respect? It will come to many argues, verbal abuse and emotional distress. The respect to approach properly as person will not be seen.It will never give a peaceful and unified solution. But if you have respect comes first, good communication will secondly follow leading to good understandings and taking consideration of one's feelings and at the end ,and lastly, good foundation of trust will flourish because you respect each other and sensitive enough to take in consideration one's opinions, feelings and views. Respect gives peaceful coordination and acceptance of other views and help accept the reality. By respecting a person only means that his presence is of importance too.

Hi caregarden, In my opinion its commununitacation. If you dont know wat ur partner is talking about during work or on a group project, ur gonna run into some problems. For example, let's take a chinese person(who only speaks chinese) and aFrench person who only speaks french. They are doing a project together. They dont know how to talk to each other therefore, there not gonna get really far. Sure you can trust them and respect them but will that be really productive while doing something?

Hi there... For me... RESPECT is the most important in any relationship. With respect, you learn how to trust your partner. With respect, you learn to listen and be heard by your partner. With respect, everything follows... like good communication, trust, being sensitive to the needs of your partner, being open-minded, knowing what is right from wrong, and understanding each others feelings more deeper.

i think its communication because to trust somebody you have to communicat something first. Without communication happening, there's no trust and without trust no relationship can survive. When you trust somebody you respect them already, respect automatically come in when there's trust.

For me, Trust plays a vital role in building a successful relationship. Trust is founded upon the confidence you feel in your partner.

careguarden they are all equally important in a good relationship, I notice you do not say marriage, but also in marriage for those few who really do want to be committed for life with their mate. you need all of those assests for a good marriage.

Although al lthree are very important for a relationship I think we tend to respect people we trust especially close friends, when one looses the trust for someone then we stop respecting him/her. Having said that, communication is as important as any other aspect if a relationship. If you do not communicate with your partner well then it leads to misconceptions and misunderstandings which consequently leads to more problems like lack of trust. Sometimes we fight with our partners and then stop talking to them because of our ego and pride or just to take revenge on them. However depending on the situation this may lead to more problems like your partner may think you are too egoistinc or even vengeful, and may try to get back at you by doing the same thing. All this just spoils the relationship eventually. Finally, I would say communication with the right intention and honesty is the most important in maintaining trust in a relationship and the respect for each other.

They are all important, i have a friend, he is always not easy to trust other people. For helping from other friends he often talk with me what they want from him. Maybe some people really want to get more from you, but you can communicate with them then you can know more about them and you can get your own answer. If you respect other people then they will give respond for you. Of course it is not easy to keep the strong relationship.

well genericibi siad it all, respect is one of the most important issue that can sustain a relationship. if there is a great value of respect in a relationship i bet you that relationship will be full of the others which are love, good communication and trust. thats just the basic truth, some relationship break up becuase there might be real love in it, but one of the two refused to see that you must have respect for the other to enjoy the love in the relationship. well generericibi has said some thing excellent and i stand by that too. have a nice yuletide season

Hello Careguarden All three are equally important. It's a combination of all three that goes hand in hand in order to attain true love. They all are very practical. Better strike the balance.

All what you stated here are important in a re;relationship, but if you will ask me what is the most important to those three, i will answer you, it's trust. That is all i can share to you right now, i cannot comprehend with the topic much, especially right now.

I think all of the three are needed to maintain a healthy relationship

to build relationship trust is come after love, if you have trust and you can give trust then it will be helpful to buildup relation. I think trust is more important than love because if there ia no trust then both lover will all the time fight with eachother and the distance between two of them and at one there will not be love and relation will be broken.
