This is the first time in many years that I have not shopped earlier for gifts for family and friends. I guess I have been so busy that I really did not have much time to do my Christmas shopping as early as September or at least, October. I still went out to buy some stuffs yesterday and I have plans to buy others today and tomorrow. It's not really something I am used to that's why, I am having a difficult time. I will make sure that I won't do this ever again...
How about you? Are you truly done with your Christmas shopping? Or, do you still have plans of buying some more stuffs in the next few days?

Ha I wish lol. Well I guess I'm pretty much done. Really I just need to get some stocking stuffers for the kids. I would love to get more stuff, but we just can't afford any more. The kids are already getting more than normal for this year. I think i went a little bit overboard to make up for the summer they had. Their dad had to go away for work this summer. he was gone every other week all summer. He has been home the last 3 weeks but the job is still having issues so he'll be going back out again, we aren't sure when yet. So I felt bad and tried to make it up to them.

Unfortunately, I am not completely done with my Christmas shopping. I still have to find one more gift for my brother-in-law, and I'd like to get something small for one of my aunts. I also am waiting for one of my dad's presents to come in the mail because I ordered it a couple of weeks ago. Hopefully, it will arrive early in the week.

Hi there AmbiePam!
Perhaps looking for the gift for that one person (like your brother-in-law in your case) is one of the hardest things...

If I had the money yeah I should still be doing my christmas gifts and all but since I don't, no I won't be shopping anymore. I have also learned that you just really need to give gifts to the ones who matter the most to you. Before I used to buy gifts super late that I would buy it a day before or two days before the christmas but now, no need to since this year its a rest for me in giving gifts except to my son of course.

I have only bought a couple of things for my wife for Christmas so far. I bought tickets and took her to see the Radio City Christmas Spectacular with the Rockettes last week and bought her a new cell phone that she had been wanting for quite some time. I have a couple more things that I am planning on getting for her and I still have some stuff to buy for our son and for a couple of other members of our family. This is our baby's first Christmas so we are planning on giving a lot of our family members our first family portrait. I think this is an expensive gift, but also one that will be loved by all. With money being short, we are having to be a little more creative.

Hello Dolce_vita78!
Yes, I am truly done with all of my shopping. Yay me! I got all of my prezzies done within the last couple of weeks or so. I didn't spend money on the ENTIRE family this year - just immediate family and some close friends. But the fact that I got it all done and out of the way is refreshing. And Christmas is only what, 5 days away? Ahh, yes, it feels nice.
Happy holiday's to you all!

I am D O N E and so is my husband. We have stuff for eachother, and we have stuff for our families too. We ordered everything on line for them, and as far as we were concerned, no surprises this year. We told eachother what we wanted, and that's what we got. I already know I'm getting a book I want, some DVDs I want, and a subscription to Newsweek, which I also want. LOL I'd rather get what I want, than be surprised.

Hi there danishcanadian!
I think that's one thing we have in common -- knowing what to be give rather than be surprised.. lol!
I agree, it's easier when you know what the receiver really wants rather than assuming they would want what you give them.

Me, not ye too. There are lots of friends and co-employees and family members I have to give. I just finished giving my staff their gifts but still have to buy for other staff and the guards and those that need be remembered and to say thank you. My gifts does not cost much as I dont have that much. For my nieces and nephews, the younger ones I just invite here to the city on vacation for some trips in the city, the Eco-park, the zoos, the malls, the Ocean Park. They will love it Im sure. Merry Christmas!

There is only one other thing we need to get and then we will be done with our shopping. This is the first year that my husband and I have done major shopping, either together or before we met. I think we'll try to get everything done before December, but possibly we'll be going out on Black Friday's, I suppose it depends on deals, and availability etc.

I think I'm done for the most part with my Christmas shopping. For me I get it all done before I come back from school for break since therefore everything can be wrapped and there is no way any of my family will be able to see what I am getting them.
Now the only thing I have to do this week is pick up photos that I got taken. I just got home this week so therefore since I was getting pictures taken of my niece since its her first christmas for my sister there was no way I could get it done any sooner. But trust me all the frames and stuff are ready to go so therefore its just picking up the pictures and putting them in and wrapping them.

I too this year started later than usual with my Christmas shopping and I finished the bulk of it last week. I have now decided to buy just one more pressie, and that is for my oldest son and it is just a little something I know that he would love and I cannot resist but that is definately it!

I had not completed my Christmas shopping. I shop for myself for two clothes, my family, and my relatives. It is hard to prepare for everyone since I was constrained by money. I not yet bought my shoes and jeans. Now is the last weekend for Christmas, so I need to grab for the remaining items for my Christmas shopping. As you know I didn't play properly every time I went for shopping. So I need to plan in next year. Merry X'Mas and Have a nice day :D

Hi Dolce,
I normally start shopping for Christmas on the month of October, when stores dispose of old stocks and put them up on sale, I find very good bargains during these times. But this year, due to the calamities that struck the country (and had affected me directly), I didn't start my Christmas shopping until yesterday. And yes, it's not over yet. I have to go back to the mall tomorrow and on Tuesday to complete my shopping list. I find it hard to shop these days because of the thick crowd in the malls. I'm just looking forward to the day after Christmas as I plan to embark on a 2-day-long date with my bed - I plan to sleep non-stop after Christmas.

I am done with my shopping and wrapping. Which is a good thing because we got a lot of snow yesterday, and I'm not sure if I can get out of my driveway. It was plowed, but they didn't plow the turnaround and I need to turn around to get up the slope of my driveway. I always try and get done early but it has never worked before. I always see something I want or a sale that I can't pass up and end up spending more money than I intended. Plus I don't know what to get people and it is hard to get someone to tell you what they want too early. Even if I do see something else I would like to buy I have finished wrapping, and don't want to have to get all the stuff out again so I'll pass.
