In this yuletide season, it has been the tradition of my family to have a reunion by spending our time together in our family house on the 31st of December for the new year. This is the time wherein my brothers and sisters are together again. Before, we were still young and we were usually the ones receiving gifts, but now that we're married, we are the ones giving gifts to our nieces and nephews. Before, we were the ones playing in the games but now we are the ones initiating it.I only see my nephews and nieces once or twice a year so I want to give a present or gift (even simple ones) to them during our reunion?Which do you think is the best Christmas gift for a kid? I will be very glad for your responses.

im thinking that if its money, the parents for sure will be the one cheering upon receiving it. if its toys, might break it after a day or 2. so i will be giving clothes (tshirt for sure)as a gift for them instead. with known celebrities printed on it like any popular superhero maybe or personalities like pacquiao. theyll be even proud for having it im sure.

If the children is too young toys and clothes maybe better while money is better for children who are middle school students.Young children just know playing with toys and wearing beautifu clothes. But older children have their own fancy which we probable don't know so i think you can give money to them and let them buy what they wann.

A perfect gift for a child would sure be a toy.Kids are never satisfied with the large number and collections of toys they have..They want to have more..and are really happy when they recieve a toy as a gift..So a toy would be a perfect gift for the kids..especially for the christmas.

Mmmm personally, a kiss and a hug is really precious and more than enough to celebrate a Christmas But maybe to complete the Christmas day, you can buy them a toys for them after you doing hug and kisses, children especially in their ages will be very happy with toys, and they won't forget you if you buy them some toys that they are really want to have until they grow old, that's based on my experiences.
Because i'm still remember what i wish when Christmas comes, and my parents decide to buy me the toys that i hardly wants as a Christmas gift under the Christmas tree, until now ... it still left in my sweet memories

While it is good for kids to be receiving toys, for me, I would prefer giving them clothes. It is good for kids to have many clothes because they keep on changing clothes a lot. With toys, sometimes, they get bored with it until they find some things they could get their attention to.

Toys for kids actually depend on their age and interests. But irresepctive of age, the best toys that you can give are those from which a kid can learn something. An example is the Animation Praxinoscope. It rebuilds the 100-year old optical toy which shows how modern animations are based on through animations discs. The pictures on the discs come alive with the help of a LED lamp which flashes like in the early movies. A toys like this is sure to inspire kids and create a new interest which will keep them occupied and increase their knowledge.

I if take myself in the position of a child then I chose none other than a toy as compared to any precious gifts given to kids.
Actually kids like toys and give no importance to any other gifts, may be even money.
clothes are a second option to them.

hi there!
I would definitely suggest toys. It doesn't have to be expensive. Just something that you know the child would like playing with. A lot of kids aren't really aware of the price. They just enjoy opening the presents. you could buy several small toys and individually wrap them and give them to the child. You'd definitely enjoy hearing him or her saying "wow".

For the kids, it has to be only toys. Try to get some good and interesting toys for them. Toys can be quite useful as a educational instrument. Building blocks, and do it yourself kits are quite good for a little grown up children. For little children, the best bet is cars with flashing lights, train sets, or animals which can walk. For girls, it is usually the dolls with nice hair, and blinking eyes, or soft dolls like a cute teddy bear. This will be the best Christmas gift for them.

for me the best gift we can give to young ones are money, money that they will be using for their education only if the parents are honest to keep the money and use it for their child's education. Toys are the young ones like, they are blinded by the toys, and they are excited when they are receiving toys from the giver. If you really want you can give them toys and money. My second choice is dress, so that aside from what they are wearing they could use my gift as part of something new this season.

Clothing seems to be a popular gift for any age or gender. Everyone likes to have something new to wear. Small children are often disappointed by the clothing gift. Kids want toys. Electronic toys are great for all. When I was a kid, I was just happy to receive a gift. i didn't care if it was clothing, a toy, or even a book. We are so materialistic at times. Kids are no different. Money is a good gift when you are unsure. While you can get away with it, toys are still the perfect choice for a kid. The smile on their face is worth every effort you've made.

Well,i would say, clothes. Why? its because,if you will say toys, those things might be poisonous, hazardous to children and they might swallow some parts of toys. Money? no way. They don't know yet the value of money. so clothes are the best gifts because you will really see how your gift is much appreciated because everytime you will see that kid is wearing your gift, you will really be happy inside.

it would be a toy definitely..Basing on their developmental tasks, play is the universal language of children and they could communicate through that. At the same time, they can grow, express their thoughts by playing..

The best Christmas present for a baby, a toddler or a child would be a toy which. It should be age appropriate or suit the child's ability if he or she has got special needs. My toddler son is disabled and I often have to put a toy away for a year until he is ready for it. The best Christmas present for a teenager in many cases will be money. It think a child should be given new clothes every season or when he or she has grown too big for his or her current clothing.

Kids like Christmas because they get presents and I think what they like most is things they enjoy playing. If you do not know what toys they long for, then clothes or candy/chocolates will still be good. But don't give toys that they have no interest/out grown. It will be a waste of your money.

I would have to say probably toys or money so that way they can get something that they will be able to have fun with. I don't know why but for some reason children don't really like to receive clothes as christmas presents. Well maybe some do I guess.

No doubts about it at all bren_yrra it should be toys. Kids love toys. It does not matter how inexpensive or expensive it is, its always toys for kids. I remember how my face would fall and I would feel a deep sense of disappointment whenever I received "useful" things as gifts. although gifts such as clothes, money etc. would make the parents happy, children dont appreciate them. Christmas is after all mainly to make children happy and we should give things that make them happy.
