christmas shopping

NO!! I think there is a high percentage of people who do not have their holiday shopping done. Alot of people are making things this year I am hearing as well. I remember I used to get 75cents back when I was about twelve to spend on Christmas presents. I would go over to the Army surplus store across the alley from my house and buy for my mom. stepdad and stepbrother and whoever else I could.

cookiecrumbles.. you hit me right at the head.. as I am now waiting to do my last minute Christmas shopping... I normally will buy some stuff, which I think will be useful throughout the year from family and friends, however when come to the end of year, I will still do some last minute rush (maybe just to have the feel of it)..

I do have all mine done (such as it is--3 small things). Even were there more, I'd still have it done, as I've learned to buy something when I see it, as often, things aren't there later on! Anyway, I rarely shop on-line. I usually have to order things through catalogs. It's cheaper, & I just hide the gifts until it's time to give them, whether that's Christmas or birthdays! I just do mine throughout the year. In theory,it spreads the cost but I still end up getting stuff late on aswell. I've done more online this year than I usually do but have no plans to buy anymore, anywhere this year (much to the relief of my bank account)

I got my shopping done this weekend. I might think of something else I want to get and it will depend on whether I have enough money after making sure all the bills are paid for the month.

All I need to do is pick up 3 bottles of Sljivovica (Croatian plum brandy), and I'm done my shopping. My husband and I are going away for Christmas this year, so we sent all of our family Christmas gifts out early. We dind't mail them, rather we sent them where they were going via family members who were going there too. Sure saved us a lot of money.

well I got mine done last Weds after I got my check So if check hadnt came on time I would be very last!

Mine was finished about a month ago and I bought them all online. This was really a stress free Christmas for me.

I'm done. But I only bought one present this year. I run to the store and got my hubby's present at 6:30 this morning.

Hi Cookie, I was going to get my xmas pressies etc 3wks ago but fell ill with the swine flu then a secondary infection so haven't been able to go out, but to save the pressie part I had saved for vouchers through a place called Park, they had sent them to me and as I couldnt go out now Ihave them to give as pressies and you can use them in loads of different shops, it is handy cos people can get what they like or want..as for food well am going to my daughters for boxing day..xmas day doesn't look like I'll be doing anything so haven't needed to get food in as no-one is coming to me....LoLo

Wow, you are good! I usually start around the beginning of November and it doesn’t take me long because I don’t have too many people to buy for, only my daughter, parents, sister, niece and a couple of friends so it is a pretty short list. The trick is whenever I see something that I know someone would like I grab it as soon as I see it, because if I don’t and I can’t find anything else I will go mad looking for that original item and usually I won’t even remember which store I saw it in! I am all organized now and everything is in gift bags under the tree all ready for The Big Day. Best Wishes to you and yours for Christmas!

The beauty of computers is that you can shop and myLot at the same time. Crowds and waiting in lines are so stressful, that I've been doing my shopping online for a few years now. Funny, once the shopping is done, the crowds and lines at the stores no longer bother me. I can go poking around at the mall and enjoy it because the stress just isn't there. With some of the excellent sales, it's fun to pick up a few extras.

No I still have four gifts to buy and one is for the son whio is bringing his GF from the U.K. Just do not know what to buy her! Am so antsy over this one. I wish that I had done it earlier as we have had rain for days!

Well, I started the shopping only got a few things and since hubby job not going so well wasn't able to purchase any more. And this year I made a rule bills get paid first. My nieces and nephews are all old enough to understand when money is tight..so they may not get it on Christmas day..but we will eventually get them all something..

hi cookie, I've done all my shopping last week but I have never bought anything from ebay, for me I like to go round the shops and always ends up buying something for myself, well why not? lol, have a lovely Christmas and Happy New Year hun. Tamara

Hey cookie! I was just telling someone in another discussion that I am going to do some more Christmas Shopping tomorrow with my boyfriend because he wants a certain pair of black contruction boots and he needs to pick them out and try them on himself! And then we need to go grocery shopping and hopefully will still be able to get a decent sized turkey for our Christmas Dinner! So, that is what tomorrow is about! And then on Wednesday I will go out shopping with my girlfriend who will be coming over for Christmas as she did for Thanksgiving and we will finish up whatever shopping is left!

I do not ofen go shopping, so i can make a list for Christmas and go shopping . oI can not go there many times. I want to try online shopping.

I wish I had, but I've been a bit lazy this year. Looks like I'll be hitting the mall in the mas christmas rush :(

I have most of mine christmas shopping done i did on last Friday so i would say that i am a last minute christmas shopper i have only two more gifts to get and they are both gift cards so i will get them on wednesday the day before christmas eve lol
