Do you believe in them? Have you read any already this year? Have you ever come across contradictory predictions for the same zodiac signs by different sites? Did any of them make you happy? Does it make you happy because it matches your desires? Is there any such site that you visit annually? Do you read only your zodiac sign, or that of your family members, and friends as well? Do you find those predictions too voluble to make any sense like my discussions? LOL. Please share your thoughts. :)

Ahhh...astrology... One of the best useless things ever invented by man... Useless by its content, but very profitable for those that claim to be so "gifted" in this area... I was thinking of doing some astrology myself, I think the money from gullible suckers would be most welcomed. I don't waste my time on such nonsense, if you read the horoscope and try to get the essence of what it foresees you end up with nothing but interpretable generalities that serve you for nothing. Stuff like, sometime in the uncertain future, you will have some problems in health. I'm sure I will, just like everybody will at one time in their life...

The "better next month" might have a good side... It might trigger a placebo effect. You might motivate yourself better believing that month is set by the stars to be better and thus make it better yourself.

Exactly - wow spartan somewhere we do think alike. LOL. In fact, I think I learnt how to say very little with a lot of words from all those astrological forecasts. :) And how not to make sense. :) But to be honest, when I was going through bad phase of my life, I did use them, and everytime they said February was better than January, I would somehow pull on till I reached February. Of course, February would generally be disappointment. :) I would convince myself that I'd been expecting too much, or may be something better was in store for me. :) So then I would search for the next possible good month for me. LOL. Deliberate insanity. LOL.

Ni vanadana7! I keep a far distance from such things. I believe that only God knows the future. So, I will have no contact with such things. Have a pleasant day

Hi 1hopefulman, that is so true. No human being can be good enough for better treatment from god. If so, kids would be the most sinless beings on the face of earth, and they would be the first choice. :) I dont believe in it either. :) But when I do have problems, I do turn to these things, looking for something that will give me hope. If I find something bad, I tell myself it is not true as many good things that were forecasted before, did not happen. When I find something good, I start hoping, and work with renewed vigor. :) Thanks for responding. You too have a nice day. :)

Oh! So you do read these horoscope signs, and some of them do match what is going on or that which eventually happens in your life. Why do you read them? Is it curiosity about future, or are you going through some bad patch in your life, which you want to recover from? Or is it some intense desire that you really want to know whether or not it will be fulfilled?

To be truthful, ive never believed in horoscopes. I find them to be entertaining, and interesting but never have i felt that any of them apply to my life. And im a cancer. Lol.

Entertaining, and interesting. Which means you read them! Of course they dont apply. Hey maezee, I too am a Cancerian. LOL. Nice meeting you. :) Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year in advance. :)

Hi maezee, I didn't notice. :) I am such an expert in punctuation mistakes that I dont notice such things. May be you can help me correct mine. Whenever you notice a mistake, please dont hesitate in pointing it out. Of course, mylot rules dont allow that. But you can do one thing. You can give the corrected version, highlighting it. I can understand it. It would be a great help. Thanks. :) Have a great day. :)

I don't really read my horoscope either. I don't think that a person's future and desires can be predicted by the stars. I do like to read them sometimes to get a good laugh and giggle. Some of my friends like to read their horoscopes everyday.
@vandana7 (100617)

Well nijolechu, they do make you laugh, dont they? Imagine telling a retired person you will get a job today. LOL. Thanks for sharing. :) Have a nice day. :)

Hi nijolechu: that's exactly what i think here. I only read my horoscope when i want to laugh. Talking about stars, you know that horoscopes are based on planets movements. What a big problem because Pluto is no loger considered a planet! So basically every horoscope made before 2006 was wrong. Thanks for sharing with us your opinion. Hope you are having a nice day. Merry Christmas/ Happy Holidays. -Alvaro.

I used to go through them in the daily newspaper and to be frank they never happened in my life for sure and i dont believe them anymore and i strongly believe that i should be dependent and confident on my work,knowledge and Talent at this particular age not on those unbalanced,inconsistent dailies fortunes and they arent my cup of tea but my mom is really crazy about those and she follows the programs on all channels and for sure each channel predicts differently.I believe in going for those for Auspicious ones not everyother day.good day Aunty.

I didnt get any PM aunty have you sent it yesterday or the one when i called you? coming to those you can easily pass through the bad times if you can be optimistic on the work you do rather than trying to find similarities in the horoscopes.

Yes your discussions do make sense and that is why I came to your profile and searched for discussion and responding now. I was a hardcore believer of horoscopes and predictions before. Then I noticed that the same predictions are given by changing from one person to another, i.e. what was said to me this month, will be given for you next month and to another in the third month. Further nothing ever happened as per those predictions. So I stopped reading them.

So as per your avataar image, you are an angel right?

Hi Buchi_bulla, thank you for compliment. :) Yes. That observation of yours is so perfect - its roulette that this astrologers play most of the time. Even the day wise if you notice they never mention two consecutive good days or bad days. Glad you became wise before it was too late. I tend to reason a bit too much. My friends call me analytical minded. LOL. Not sure I am that bad. LOL. Whatever. But it doesnt make any sense unless we desperately need hope. :) And my avatar.. did you like it? :) Its a role fitting the season, isn't it? I hope I can fulfil everybody's wishes. You know a funny thing. I loaded the avatar yesterday, and today mylot has given everybody a chance to mint money. LOL.

I don't belive in online astrology. I don't find it logical because there are many people having same zodiac signs so how's that possible that every person with the same zodiac sign will have same future.

Yeah how can the fate of a seventy year old be same as that of seven year old. :) But they are fun to read. :) Have a nice day. :)

Hi Vandana, I think horoscopes are on a par with believing in Santa. I never read them. Now my best friend back in the UK can't pass a newspaper shop without popping in to check her horoscope in every paper until she finds one which suits her mood.

Hey thea, dont you ever want a miracle to happen to you! :) Now, that is why your English is so good. UK. That is why I was wondering if all Greeks are as good as the Greek goddess thea. :) I like the attitude of your friend though.:) Wish I could be that naive. :)

Hi vandanda: I don't beleive in them, i think they're a fake and even if they were true i should only trust in Jesus. I think about them just as something really funny. As you said if you look for two horoscopes of the same day, you'll probably find contradictions. I have sometimes read them because it's just for fun. I read them in this way, for example" you'll find the love of your life" Seriously? Well I have to be very careful today. Lol. XD. Thanks for starting this discussion. Hope you are having a nice day. Merry Christmas/ Happy Holidays. -Alvaro.

Hi starsailover :) Well, let me also join the bandwagon and say today you will find the love of your life. LOL. And if it happens to be true, please make it a point to come here and let us know that it is true. I might start collect charges for forecasting. LOL. All the best. :) And I heartily reciprocate your wishes. :)

I would read the horoscopes in the newspaper for fun in the past, but I stopped doing so. I don't believe in horoscopes, and I don't find what they say funny anymore. It's hard to believe that everyone who has been born in the same month will have the same fate.
@vandana7 (100617)

You see there are more than two lines/parts there. So each month has four weeks. Depending upon in which part you are born one of the lines will be applicable to you. You just have to determine which of those is applicable to you. Ini mini mina mo..:) Kidding. It is just a farce. Nobody is better than the other. Everybody is alike in god's eyes. Therefore, I can forecast as much about you as you can about me. :) How can we presume that god gives special powers to any other individual? How can we be sure about another individuals goodness, when we ask so much about the bad? Having said all this, please note the benefits of such things. When and ever you are going through any bad patch, if you need fastest way to get some hope, astrology and horoscope charts are the way. They make you hope, and tell you if you do this, this will happen. It rarely does, but by the time we open our eyes, the bad patch is behind us. :)

Sometimes - the operative word is that. I too can forecast a whole lot, and it may happen sometime. You too can. Try forecasting my future. And lets see whether it does or not. If it does you become an astrologer, if it doesnt, well, you are not a psychic. :) Whatever. Well, I too read horoscopes. It is an old habit. I used to read it almost everyday when I had some bad patch in my life. They gave me hope to hang on. So I cant really say they are bad, can I? In principal and logically though there is nothing but probability in it. :)

You do have a point there lihocc. "If one already knows the answer, he will lose the passion to struggle on his goal". Interesting. :) I think some astrologers try to tell you what you want to hear, because even if it is not something that will come true, you will feel happy and you will give monies to them. Others try to tell you bad so that if it doesnt happen, you wont be angry with them. :) thanks for sharing your views. Have a nice day. :)
