What will you sacrifice this Christmas?

Christmas should be a time to celebrate, to be merry, to be with family and friends. But for some, it's a time when they have to compromise because they will sacrifice something for the sake of one which has a greater purpose. For me, I am about to sacrifice my time with my family this Christmas. I still have work to do and there's no way for me to go home except to go on AWOL which would mean losing my job. But I do believe that they fully understand it because what I am doing is also for the benefit of the whole family. How about you, what will you sacrifice this Christmas? calyxus

I have the opposite problem. I'm not fond of huge gatherings and my extended family is huge. So I have to give up my comfort zone to spend time with them. It wouldn't be so bad if I didn't have to deal with the constant criticism and competition of which kid-now-turned-adult is better than the other. Cousins, ugh...

Merry Christmas thenieruz! I hope you do have a wonderful christmas inspite of having to give up your comfort zone. Just take it as a constructive criticism. And dont let it affect your relationships with your cousins. cheers (literally, im drinking right now), calyxus

well i do think Christmas is a time of sacrifice because we all have things we want to get others but cannot necessarily afford to. hubby is not working and we did go without things just so our daughters would get gifts.
