What will you sacrifice this Christmas?

Christmas should be a time to celebrate, to be merry, to be with family and friends. But for some, it's a time when they have to compromise because they will sacrifice something for the sake of one which has a greater purpose.
For me, I am about to sacrifice my time with my family this Christmas. I still have work to do and there's no way for me to go home except to go on AWOL which would mean losing my job. But I do believe that they fully understand it because what I am doing is also for the benefit of the whole family.
How about you, what will you sacrifice this Christmas?

I have the opposite problem. I'm not fond of huge gatherings and my extended family is huge. So I have to give up my comfort zone to spend time with them. It wouldn't be so bad if I didn't have to deal with the constant criticism and competition of which kid-now-turned-adult is better than the other. Cousins, ugh...

Merry Christmas thenieruz!
I hope you do have a wonderful christmas inspite of having to give up your comfort zone. Just take it as a constructive criticism. And dont let it affect your relationships with your cousins.
cheers (literally, im drinking right now),
