Do you remember the boy in Colorado who apparently went adrift in a hot air balloon? Well I was reading in the BBC news that the parents now have to pay the $42,000 in rescue money back! Apparently the article states that it was a hoax for in order to secure some kind of tv deal, that expensive !
Do you think the parents should pay it back?
If this happend to you how would you earn the cash to pay this money back?

Yes the parents should pay it back. They wasted tax payer's dollars on a rescue team to search for their kid who was perfectly safe at home. I don't think I'd ever try to pull a hoax like this so I'll use that as my way of paying it back. Prevention is the best measure afterall.

yes they should most definately pay it back.
they wasted the time and effort of emergency services all to propagate a hoax to get a tv show.
what if there had been a large emergency elsewhere that was now short on help because of them?
they should of thought about it before doing that.
