if you find yourself tossing and turning at night while other are in deep doozz, sometimes you can blame the food that your eat before you go to bed, here are food you need to avoid:
1. aged cheese - like parmesan, romano, asiago and other hard cheeses, they contain high levels of amino acids, TYRAMINE to be particular, are know to keep you up.
2. spicy foods & caffeine - obviously these food is sleep stealer.
3. processed of smoked meats - also contains tyramine.
4. milk chocolate - average milk contains several amino acid but the culprit of all is tyrosine, which is converted into dopamine - a stimulant, this cause alertness and restlessness, i guess our mum is lying when our mum says "drink a glass of milk before going to bed to have a good night sleep?"
5. ginseng tea - compare with other tea this tea has higher level of stimulant so stay away with this..

Well,I have lots of trouble sleeping too.I lay there staring for hours, and sometimes I'll get up and use the internet. It drives me crazy to try to fall asleep. One of my problems is I have restless legs syndrome. That helps me in losing sleep.I try herbal tea, sleepy time.

Sometimes, going to a different room and doing something relaxing helps. Try to only sleep in your bedroom. If you do other activities there, your brain will begin to associate it with things other than sleep, which hinders sleeping.
Ever tried meditation? I've heard that is good for silencing a restless mind.
